the real reason is this:
apple first went to verizon with the iphone at the very beginning and offered them a contract to be the only carrier. they turned down the offer because "they could not offer unlimited data to customers for the low price that apple wanted" and "they didn't have the technology to do so much unlimited data". This whole "its not high enough quality" bullshit is nonsense. Seriously, there are WAY more crappy phones on verizon than the iphone...

This could just be my common sense, but constantly heckling a person installing ANYTHING not just internet in my house, is probalyl going to result in a bad way. I mean if I was doing the install and I was those installers, I'd make sure to make you happy and keep you at your 58K since you thought it was faster:)

Dude, not to say you don't know what you're talking about, but your current 58K connection is slow compared to 15MB. 15MB is over 260 times faster, do the math! If you think Verizon is ripping you off, then don't get high-speed interent, use NetZero or go wireless and hack into your neighbors, library, college, etc :-)
