Taste for a dollar! yeah! It's fun to go pickin with you, But I can't seem to get my hand through the screen... XD God, that bin that started with CSNY... what a bunch of obscure titles on the cheap! Roy Wood is a cool guy
I see that last seller was married to his LPs the way they were priced. That happens so often, vendors trying to make rent end up pricing themselves out of the market. Sadly the only one really making money at antique malls are the people that own them. Nice vid! cheers
@DoctorDeadwax I need to make a video explaining the pricing of used records, be it at antique malls or record stores. Those over priced stickers are for the uninformed buyer. I can't speak for all the booths I've shown (because some are new to me) but many have been in business for years.
Don't forget to send in pictures of your records to the VC Record Shelves Yearbook.
Burleson Antique Mall added to the Bucket List! Fuck! I second Duane's note that Antique Malls normally have ridiculous prices. I hit one in Providence last week and threw up in my mouth, just a little, at the insane prices. You got some awesome grabs and more so, looks like you had a blast! Great mixing in the video, I know you put a lot of effort into these and they come out better every time bro! - Lj
@BioCYTE1 Next time your at an antique mall see if the owner of the booth is in the store so you can haggle on price. If the owner isn't there....take what you want to the clerk and ask them to call the owner with your offer. Easy. Don't fear those crazy prices. You never know how much the records are unless you ask. Very few prices on items in antique stores around here are firm. It might be different in your area.
@punktexas Good tip. I'm all for haggling but I think I just get disgusted and walk away hoping they fold up shop! I really should try. This antique mall doesn't have any of the dealers present but has some really cool stuff. Sounds like it's worth a shot! - Lj
@reaganrvltn I picked up that Taste - Live At The Isle Of Wight and James Walsh Gypsy Band (I played some songs off the James Walsh album in the video). They were maked $1 and discounted 20%.
Nice! Finally an antique store with great vinyl prices! What's the tile of the second song? Loved it. Great diggin' vid as usual my friend. These are always so great when you need a fix but can't get out. Keepem' comin'
@Lazerrus Antique stores have flexible prices. I paid 80 cents each for the Taste and James Walsh Gypsy Band albums. I show the records because what's there not for the prices which can be shocking. Most booths have signs saying X % off. That's just means they're ready to wheel and deal. I love to haggle. I think the song was Whole Lotta Givin to Do. Could have been You Make Me Feel Like Livin'. I kinda tricked the mix a bit with the jazzy song at the begining and end.
I think those 2 albums are worth at least $8 + each. I thought about playing
"Cuz It's You, Girl" by the James Walsh Gypsy Band in the video. Amazing northern soul style. Check out the ebay completed auction for singles of that song. $71 was the cheapest..OMG.
@elbosausage Oh damn. I was going to give you props for that location during the video. Nice place for sure. Thanks for the tip. I'll be leaving more money there soon. I went to the one in Azle too. Video coming soon.
Excellent excellent excellent. You are the master vinyl finder in the state of Texas. When I see these videos it says to me just how small my record collection really is.
I posted a link for your project on my latest video post from today. Thanks~

@BioCYTE1 Think about this....If antique stores sold records at the prices marked, all record stores would be in antique malls.
