  • ITV, I hate you. I hate you for ruining an institution which I and millions grew up with to know as a viewer's friend, a full network of studios and programmes of high quality which we can all remember fondly. You even won awards for some of them. So what do you do? Firstly, you take on Maggie's deregulation and divest programmes of their frontcaps (1988), then bring in sponsorship (1991) and eventually become crap merchants ruled over by Simon Cowell.

    I hope you're f***king proud of it.

  • good informative video, felt very upset for those who lost their jobs, we all know that 25% will ever get jobs in Media what about the other 75% of poor souls and the affect community around including supporting industry, good music should infect the hearts of those in the boards room making cold decisions just to save their salaries, any board member objecting is usuallr fired or retired! please telll me the song name it really does have an affect!

  • @Bignadim Philip Glass - Koyaanisqatsi

  • Have been on memory lane today on TV Ark looking at the glory days of ITV where someone posted that the regional ident cards that used to appear before and after programmes made it seem like the broadcasters were proud of their exports. It makes me so sad that the soul has been ripped out of ITV with the demise of regional programming. I hate ITV these days, there is no substance left - only phone-in competions and inane recycled drivel. Now talent drains away from this region - small wonder.

  • Disgusted with Newcastle city council allowing this to happen.Spent some of my youth here watching Razzmatazz and the tube being filmed. It should have been turned into a museum of TV for furure generations to see what it was like. But typical Newcastle it seems to be getting rid of anything from the past and all the geordie heritage is slowly going to be replaced by upmarket crap to keep the fucking tourists and southern visitors happy.Once a proud town, not anymore.

  • Sorry, I'm from London and even I feel sad for those who had TTT in their hearts. I hope at least the tapes are archived! Why do I feel all that TV talent has gone with it?

  • Egypt Cottage is now gone too. Not a trace

  • We are losing our identity as we watch all icons of our great historic past be wiped out by the evil of capitalism.

  • R.I.P TTTV City Road Studio,s 15th January1959-2010

I will remember you for the rest of the time I am on this planet.

ITV SHAME ON YOU FOR LETTING THIS HAPPEN.

Such a greedy sad World we live in... It seems EVERYTHING has a price. ITV sold the land to build yet more over priced, shoe box sized crammed on top of each other "Trendy flats"

Just think in 12 Months from now some bell-end is going to be parking his porsche (That is on credit/tick) where our lovely TTTV studio,s used to be.

  • For someone who grew up in the North East, seeing the studio complex finally go is a really sad day, even if we all knew it would eventually come!

  • shocking another ITV studio demolished.

  • Such a shame.
