Option Selects aren't that hard to explain. Basically you just do a move and before that move finishes you do another move very quickly. If the first move whiffs the 2nd move will come out, if it hits or is blocked the 2nd move doesn't come out. You can get more in-depth with it esp if you want to talk about specific OS's. And vespercarcade does a good job explaining them.
