We home schooled our son from 5th grade through high school. He ended up passing a national standards test in the 95th percentile (99th in language skills). We home schooled for academic reasons and certainly not to stifle science education. Public schools spend too much time on BS and not enough on learning. In our house books outnumber CDs and DVDs. Our son has grown into a rational free thinker. I could ask for nothing more.
great video dave being schooled and babysat by the govt. this shows me that their are other and better ways of teaching the children the truth not govt. truth which is not truth such as christopher columbus discovered indians living in the land he discovered what a joke.
Ironic that a state worker recommended the Liberty Scholarship Fund, but I think it is great. Now these kids can learn in a Liberty Friendly environment and not be indoctrinated by the state.
South Carolina provides free homeschool lessons via either online, CD-ROM ore good ole paper. They dont spend verry much on it either and there are certain very small cheap private schools that use these lessons and outperform the public schools.
boston is a horrible horrible place. I would never want my children to go to school there. they actually teach and promote homosexuality and athiesm. It is very disturbing.
Do you mean the teacher exposes them to those concepts? I really seriously doubt the educators indoctrinate the students into those ideas. I would have a problem with either way. Wether it's religion or anything else. But the students are there to "learn".

but but but what about socializing. Without that 8 hours a day in school. They will not discover the joy of public indoctrination camps.

this is the kind of stuff that garners good public sentiment not petty "civil disobedience"
