@betteboop57 I'm pretty sure she simply recorded what she usually does to punish him rather than punishing him specifically for the show. She DID have her daughter film it, but the abuse was part of what she was doing to him on a regular basis, so she didn't have to stage it especially for Dr. Phil.
They get a lot of calls from people who want to be on the show for the attention, but really don't need the help as much as others might. They have to prioritize like that.

I listened to the mothers words so carefully......the mother commented, "Good" when the child had hot sauce in his mouth and had not swallowed it, but after the child was allowed to spit the hot sauce out, the mother said swallow. I was actually thinking that she didn't want the child to swallow the hot sauce because it would burn his digestive tract. WOW, was I wrong. Discipline isnt the problem the real problem its wether or not you actually love the kid. Spankings, cold showers, etc are not the problem, it is that this mother does not love the child and people are outraged not because of the disciplinary action but because she doesn't love the boy. It's a subtle difference, but people pick up on it. If she really did care about that boy what she did wouldn't have caused such an outrage. But if you really don't like your kid, people pick up on it.
