@MysteryMusicianGirl Yeaaah, but she had taken an overdose of a flu medicine and in the bus crash her kidneys where damaged too much so her kidneys couldn't remove the medicine from her body. Also, the medicine was based on a chemical/ingredient that cannot be removed from anyone's body via other ways. So she was technically dead already.

Wilson kept her on life support for a few more hours to be with the woman he loved, but she eventually told him that it was her time to go. He reluctantly fulfilled her wish, knowing she couldn't be on life support forever, so he had to let go. He had to let her go.

Wasn't it true that Amber was also pregnant with Wilson's baby? I think that's another thing that makes her death just sadder than Kutner's. Kutner committed suicide and took an easy way out to a temporary problem. Amber didn't want to die, she was expecting to be back which made that a hell of a lot sadder in my opinion.

The show had decreasing viewership over the past 3 seasons and Hugh Laurie's contract is up by the end of Season 8 and he said he doesn't want to be away from his family filming House all the time. Suicide is a much more complicated and shocking thing to deal with and thankfully most of us have never had to deal with it. I would imagine even dealing with someone who was very bdepressed is still a million miles away from dealing with suicide. Just shows how great "House" is in dealing with such issues in a drama.

EVERONE SHOULD KNOW: The creators of House had Kutner commit suicide because the actor was offered a job in Foreign Relations in the White House, or something to that effect. That's part of the reason there was so little focus on his death.
