  • I used to love this show when i was a kid, but now i see the error in my ways, and now it just scars the shit out of me.. smfh....

  • I never knew Ally Sheedy played a little boy named Jerry in this series!!!

  • OMG, I completely forgot that I used to watch this as a kid. I can understand WHY I forgot.

  • good education, be artificial or otherwise, but take a look at kids today after seeing shows like tinky winky & frigging lala,!! yes give that one some thought, the technology back then was NOT as it is today, "look" we have cars, i-phones & X-boxes that talk! if the techno was there then like it is now, it would be quite an educating programme, bring it back now and it will be a winner. i'de rather see children walking around acting like vicky the robot than an assassin creed!!!!.

  • @seasa1000 Don't you say shit about Assassin's Creed.

  • My band The Small Wonder Experience out of Joshua Tree, CA plays classic rock covers and folk/funk/punk/rock original tunes. 99% of our music has nothing to do with the TV show but for the hell of it, we do perform a killer psychedelic blues cover of the SW theme song from the show often.

  • nostalgia is an amazing feeling.....good old childhood....

  • That feel when no persocom.

  • It was a good show, don't know why people hate it. This show > any bullshit we are watching today. "It's ridiculous because it's about a robot girl" - SO, what? Tiffany is just great here. All your bullshit reasons are out of this world. I watched this show 8 years ago and I liked it, and I m watching this now and I still like it. It's not perfect in any sense, but it's definitely not dumb or crap.

  • its not fair they should have a certain channel for all mid 80's and 90's shows

  • @blacktube1 OK, does it really need explanation how it's a ridiculous sitcom? A robot posing as a girl who speaks in a robot voice and wears the same outfit day in and day out? The concept itself is ridiculous. It was an entertaining show though, but c'mon!

  • @savvysearch - Well, technically a robot can't change it's outfit. Yes, it's obvious she will talk in a robot voice considering it's a robot show. The concept is not ridiculous, your reasons are irrational.

  • @rahully2j so a robot can walk, talk with a developed sense of language but it doesn't have the capacity to change a dress that she had been wearing forever. A dress that even in the 80s, was more appropriate for children under the age of 6.

You're seriously trying to argue that this was not a ridiculous show? Even given the requisite suspension of disbelief in a concept like this, the show is just plain laughably bad (which was the reason for it's success).

  • @savvysearch - Well, she did change her dress sometimes. If it was that bad then why did it last 4 seasons? I can name you more than 10 shows which were ridiculous and barely lasted 1 season. You're comparing from this timeline that's why you find it ridiculous. When it 1st aired, it was pretty famous and was targeted towards children. You obviously don't expect complex jokes here, now do you? But then again, to each his own. Saying it's dumb or good doesn't make it a fact. It's all subjective.

  • Man, even though I didn't grow up in the 80's, but I loved this show. It would play reruns in the 90's and I would rush to the tv first and put it on and sing along.

  • That robot girl is fucking scary

  • Uh... Jamie...

  • i just love this serial.it remind me my old days.thanks 4 posting.

  • Executive producer Howard Leeds was previously the producer of another sitcom involving a female robot- "Rhoda", as portrayed by Julie Newmar on "MY LIVING DOLL" (1964-'65), originally starring Bob Cummings, until he walked off the show in mid-season, and "second banana" Jack Mullaney became her co-star for the last five episodes.

  • ...and I know WHY Tiffany was "fairly quiet and kept to herself" while she attended Toll Junior High after the series ended, 'crazygreen': if most of your fellow students had recognized her right away, the teasing and abuse would have started right in {"Hey, Robot Girl, let's see you RUST!"/"Let's pull her arm off and see if there's any wires up her sleeve..."}. If there's anything kids like to pick on the most, it's a "TV star" attending school with them...

  • Is it just me, or do the lyrics at 0:16 sound unsettlingly like "She's a miracle and I grant you she would shank you on sight"?

I don't think I would want a robot that would shank me on sight... :(

  • I watched this when I was really young. I remember one episode where Vicki the robot girl watched the parents practicing their sales speech in order to sell a house. Of course, Vicki has to go and copy them and end up selling her parents' house instead of the house across the street that was on sale or something. I remember thinking: "Umm...she was like 8 years old! how could anybody think that she was an actual estate salesperson? the couple who brought the house from her sure was retarded."

  • This serie is one of my greatest childhoud sexual fantasy, I was her age. Thank.

  • Totally forgot about this show!! How long did it air? I've heard memory loss comes with old age. LOL

  • I think I had a crush or Harriet. Even back then I knew...red heads are where its at.

  • you just don't know how much it makes me feel when i watch this right now....i can picture me sitting in the living room with all of my brother and sister with my mom fixing us up a hot plate!....but now, we're all married and my parents are old. *crying*...i miss those days.

  • cute tv show but the girl next door was eventually possessed by a dark entity and vomited over her mom while shouting "FUCK ME!" the made a movie about it.

  • this show rocked!!

i cannot imagine my childhood widout it!!

    if u think it sucked....mayb bcoz u r a retard nd a freak!!

  • @jeanbilliejean How old were you when you watched this?

  • @kyoukoujin i think i was around 5 yrs.....(in d year 1998) wen i started watching nd i watched till 2001 (wen i was 8 yrs)

  • @jeanbilliejean I looked at your profile. You're in India.

I watched this tv show while I was in the Philippines.

    Probably around 95 to 98.

  • @kyoukoujin yea...i m in india...too bad this show isnt aired anymore!!

  • @jeanbilliejean I remember they showed this on Star World in the mornings lol good times

  • @jeanbilliejean i think i was around 5 yrs.....(in d year 1998) wen i started watching nd i watched till 2001 (wen i was 8 yrs)

This was me nd my sis's fav show...we wud wait eagerly for 5.30 pm....for tht was d tym wen d reruns of d show wud be aired...we hav many sweet memories wid this show....

  • Ask me about my Small Wonder fan club.

  • something is really creepy about this show and i can't put my finger on it

  • why did this show disappear its not even in reruns eather

  • That intro brings back so many memories! I remember it being kind of weird and Vicki creeped me out when I was a kid.

  • Comment removed

  • The girl who plays Vicki the robot is a schoolteacher now.

  • hermoso recuerdo

  • Marla Pennington was so fucking hott.

  • THAT FATHER WORKS FOR THE SKYNET ahuahauhauhaua

  • 0:28 my god look at that technology.

  • @courtney359 LMMFAO,exactly! You'd think that a robot (in this case,a robot kid) would at least have some Terminator type technology. Instead,we get what looks like the insides of an old school Speak and Spell.

  • My best show along wit i dream of jennie!

  • Harriot was a beast... + it had the Ed Roony's secretary, Grace. "Go soak your head". LOL classic.

  • I remember this. It was on every Sunday morning.

  • Every kid that was born in the 80's remember Small Wonder Vicki the robot very funny I miss the 90's

  • i used to watch this show all the time. one of my all time favs. oh the memories.

  • Never heard of it until I watched a horrible episode of Drawn Together that mentioned it. Still trying to find someone who had seen or even heard of it.

  • cant believe 16 assholes people this show

  • AAh this show isn't retarded! I used to watch it as a kid! But in retrospect I can see how the newer generation sees it as retarded.

  • @brbgal VERY retarded indeed, .. and I'm of the 80's generation myself! Ya know, it was made in the 80's, yet that song and the way the little girl is dressed seem more out of the 1950's! So, even THEN it struck me as backward and outdated !

  • i just love this show can anybody provide its hindi episodes

  • What happens as she grows? They must have just known the show wouldn't last long.

  • @jbrandtproductions I believe there is an episode where the dad claims to fix something in her so she can grow, cause I remember her looking older than this.

  • i remember this show!!! lol! oh man! really brings ya back!

  • Oh. Let me add one more reason this is crappy: horrible theme song! "She's fantastic/ Made of plastic/ Microchips here and there?" Yikes!

  • I grew up at a good and fun time!!!!!

  • When I see that open panel in her back, all I'm thinking is... what 2GB max. I picture her holding like the equivalent of 8 MP3s tops.

  • omg I thought this was a comedy skit, like a parody. This was an actual show? Crazy!

  • lol...I used to watch that show myself when I was a kid and for some reason I was into it. Now that I'm older and just watched that clip again for the first time in years I have to ask myself. Why would a grown man build a decent looking kid robot for his family. What perv ideas were going through his head? lol

  • that was an awesome show and could any body please tell me how can i get all the episodes of this serial because in at my 25th year of age i still like that show..........

  • I loved this show as a kid, but questions go through my mind. What would Vicki be like now years later? Would she have grown or still look like a kid since she was a robot?

I wish they'd put these on DVDs.

  • " A really crappy and ridiculous sitcom"

hmm.........why because it did not have any sexual content or kids bossing around their parents , it was crappy to you because it provided clean entertainment.

  • @blackutube1 Why is it crappy? Let me count the ways. Low production values. Bad actors. Bad dialogue. Bad casting. And lest we forget ... the worst premise for a sitcom, ever. (I remember seeing an interview with Kirk Cameron's sister on Vh1's "I Love the 80s." She said she auditioned for this role, and in retrospect she thanks God that she did not get hte role of the robot girl!)

  • @coursestudent lol, I agree on all your points but still loved this show as a kid.

How could Kirk Camerons sister be happy at not getting this part? It's not like it would have hurt her career any less. She's still known as Kirk Camerons sister from an Cheesy 80's sitcom.

  • @blackutube1 Die of AIDS. Your "clean" entertainment was shit.

  • @blackutube1 it ridiclous because it is about a robot girl

  • good god! I thought i dreamt this shit up... turns out it exists!

  • I want hindi episodes...super comedy !!!

  • A family friendly show? My god... try pitching that in todays fucked up world with reality jersey whore shows.

  • OMG.. this was my fav TV show when I was 5..

  • @wesmeis Actually, I think its too bad, myself, that Tiffany Brissette ( "as Vicky " ) didn't continue to have a tv career at all after this show. I always figuered that she'd mature into a pretty atractive woman.

  • i use to love vicki the robot

  • This is the dumbest fucking show I have seen in my lifetime.

  • Was this an american show? This is horrible quality.

  • I use to watch this show :)

  • I'd still rather watch a marathon of "Small Wonder" than one episode of "The Hills" "American Idol" or "Jersey Shore"

  • this show was very popular in india..... missed my childhood days.....thnx for uploading

  • i use to love this show! oohh the memories ...they can't compare to the reality bs shows we have now!!!

  • I always wanted to bang Vicky and make her my sex slave.

  • I can't wait to watch this on DVD.

  • god this show was fucking terrible

  • @MilwaukeeIrishJoe how fucking dare you, your terrible you fuck. Smal Wonder Rocked. shit was funny every time Harriet would come over

  • @Gonk How dare I? How dare YOU? Harriet was a dumb little whore, and she had a fire crotch! I bet even the little robot girl fuckin' knew it, you god damn prick!

  • @Gonk I remember that she rubbed her eyes alot ( because she'd witness something weird ). But, ya know, her character was really just a kiddie-version rip-off of that neighbor woman from Bewitched ( whos name escapes me ).

  • @Skulldini You mean Gladys Kravitz? :>)

  • man the 80s have more in common with the 50s than they do today. Damn reality V really jacked things up..

  • its a prequel to the data android in star trek

  • I remember this show, what years was it on tv?

  • why is there a creepy red-headed girl staring into the little boys bedroom?

  • @Dubcity49036 HAHHAHAHAHA yeah looking at it again it looks hella creepy and scary lol

  • I remember watching this inane sitcom on Saturday nights when I was 8 or 9.

  • oh my god i always thought jaime was so gross!!!!! what a little tranny! lol

i loved this show..hated harriets bangs but i lived their house and Vicki!

  • I notice theres a Vic chip on her circuit board

  • Used to watch this show on Saturday afternoons, I believe. Possibly the worst-acted show in the history of television, but it was mesmorizing and I couldn't get enough of it.

  • I have the dvds of this show got them at bestbuy

  • This theme song reminds me of shopping at Safeway in the '60's.

  • I remember watching this show when I was a kid.

  • I wished they play the Small Wonder episode with Jesse Ventura on YOUTUBE...

  • i memba this show i was really young.

  • I loved this show when I was a kid. Where are these types of shows now? Nothing wholesome, just rap, garbage, and sex and all this other junk nowadays.

  • @XiomaraDarkes Gonna have to agree with you on that.

  • @XiomaraDarkes Reagan and Bush Sr. left office.

  • @XiomaraDarkes I'm sorry, Reagan and Bush Sr. left office and the DEMOCRATS took over and that is why we don't have decent, wholesome shows anymore,.

  • @XiomaraDarkes You got that right I totally agree with u...

  • @XiomaraDarkes lol I don't know many rap shows, but i guess.

  • @XiomaraDarkes

Oh come on...theres some dumbshows now, including reality tv...but shi show was complete and utter crap with really lame acting and the effects I could do better with my cell phone.

It's fucking idiot and I think we are all actually dumber for having watched it.

  • @hipstermi "..I think we are all actually dumber for having watched it." You must've watched every episode all day every day, you're dumber than dirt!

  • @hipstermi of course you could do them with your cell phone, this show is over 10 years old. And for the record, this show is exponentially smarter than "for the Love of Ray J" and over half the crap that kids watch today.

  • @hipstermi I'm in total agreement with THAT ! A crap show is a crap show regardless of what era its from ( whether it was made in 1987 or 2011, .. or whenever ), and we should never allow our generational bias's to cloud our sense of artistic discernment !

  • @XiomaraDarkes Get with the program biatch!

  • @XiomaraDarkes thats what some people thaught back then about stuff in that time period, but i used to watch it

  • @XiomaraDarkes AMEN!!!

  • @XiomaraDarkes thats so funny of you to say cuz i thought and still think that this show is total garbage.

  • @XiomaraDarkes how do you associate rap with a wholesome tv show?

  • @XiomaraDarkes How old were you when this show was shown in 1985 to 1989?

    I was 1 to 5.

  • I LOVED this show . i also had a crush on that robot girl big time we were about the same age back then . i also thought some day there would be real robot lol

  • jesus christ!!!

what a bullshit fucking sorry ass show!!!!!!!!!11

  • In two more days from now, here is a shout out to Tiffany, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday Dear Tiffany, Happy Birthday To You!!!!!!

  • The MEDIOCRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • damn i love this show they need to bring shows like this back on

  • @will1978888 I know! Like Wu Tang said, "could it be that it was all so simple then." I'm 30 and have a 9 year old. I think she's definetly missing out on those wholesome shows. Even cartoons today have subliminary adult content!

  • @will1978888 CHINOS LA CIENCIAS A AVANSADO TANTO QUE CREO QUE ESO VA A PASAR EN UN FUTURO

  • that little robot girl was creepy . belonged in some Stephen King movie or something

  • True story Candace Cameron D.J. in Full House was up for the role of Vicki

  • I heard that Seth Green was up for the role of Jamie...

  • THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Small Wonder was so weird!

We did an 80's SITCOM INTRO parody. Just go to our page and look on our uploads list.

  • what, admit it, this show was awesome hahahaha

  • The book was better and I read them all.

  • I think that this robot Vicky was very cute. Certainly better than the cartoon human evil babysitter Vicky from "The Fairly Oddparents!"

  • Vicky allways reminded me of the little girl from twilight zone the movie, the part where John lithgo in on the plane and sees a creature destroying the planes engins, theres a little girl with a ventriquest

puppet! Is this the same girl?

  • this is before adopting freaking kids was the norm like angie jolie

  • As a kid I loved this show. I had forgot all about it. But it is a tad bit ridiculous if you think about it.

  • Oh my god I love the internet, I used to watch this when I was a kid and I LOVED it, though my parents thought it was lame and wouldn't have it on when they were in the room. I almost feel like crying, its so good to see it again. Ah, nostalgia

  • I never noticed the stalker neighbor when I used to watch the show. Wow!!! Good post!!!!

  • I mean Marla Pennington

  • Martha Pennington had a nice ass! XD I never noticed that as a kid

  • I used to love this show!

  • lol you thought harriet was hot

  • THROOOOOOOOW BACK. I use to love this show. I use want milk and juice come out of my fingers

  • While talking bout robot girls, Can any one help, am trying to find a 1980/90's tv sci-fi horror seriesa, think it was called Jenny (and an age like 19). think it was about a girl who dies and the military scretley replace her with a robot, n send her back to her family, so its kinda like D.A.R.Y.L, except at the end when she goes on an A.W.O.L. rampage Does any one know what am on about???

  • Deadly Friend 1986 Look it up on the IMDB :)

  • N1 m8, I think it might be that one. I asked my dad after i posted the comment was it called Jen 18 or something, n told him the problem i was getting with all porn in my searches. he remembered it, called jennifer 19 (based on a sci-fi book), might be this just named different in UK, n1 :)

  • "Deadly Friend". One of my favourite Wes Craven flicks. :-D

I remember just loving "Small Wonder" when it was on. Unlike the OP, I would hardly call a show that lasted 4 seasons "really crappy", but, hey, personal opinion and all that.

  • Wow, he's wearing a Gremlins shirt. How awesome is that?? LOL. :D

  • @Number1Musican I used to have that same shirt!

  • i wonder what group is performing that song. their harmonies are amazing...lol soo cute! damn, Jamie had a massive over-bite...lol

  • Wow, just watched a couple episodes of this... it's frickin TERRIBLE!

I did like it when I was a kid, but good lord it's awful.

  • And the nostalgia continues...I continue to find this stuff from my childhood on Youtube, it's great fun

  • I use to like this show, but now looking back at the concept of the show.. it's really freaky. P.S. - was the theme song written and performed in the 60's or something??

  • I ways thought that red haired girl next store Harriet was HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ive been lookin for this for years i nvr could remember wat it was called.thx for posting

  • i use to watch this as a kid but damn this has to go down as one of the worst shows in history lol

  • No, The Brady Bunch Hour was way worse!

  • It's the "Plan 9 From Outer Space" of sitcoms!

  • O_O I forgot this show even existed. I remembered it as soon as the theme started. weird.

  • MY FAV OF ALL TIME

  • I use to love this show when I was a kid!

  • It was a kind of dumb show, but it lasted for a while. Four seasons worth, many shows wish they lived that long.

  • I wish this was on DVD!!

  • me too...i love the old sitcoms...tv is not the same without it ...but they take all the good stuff off

  • the dad built it cus there was no law about having sex with a robot, who resembles a child! lol

  • lol....this show was even embarrasing when it was on however the "robot child" angle is kind of funny

  • i used to watch this....

  • I did too. And yes I liked it. :)

  • WoW! I think I am getting old..this show was broadcast in the 80s...I used to love this show..
