She weaves it all together and her creation lives on as a painting in your head for years to come. I can't think of another artist who has combined all these artistic forces together with such beauty and intensity. I am grateful beyond words for every gift she has shared with the world.

This is one Joni's most powerful songs. How could so much beauty, intelligence, integrity, vocal and instrumental virtuosity and truth be in one human being? Nearly every other person in her genre, the singer/songwriter, either worships at her feet or stands in awe of her. I still feel sometimes like she must have written this song about me, one of the greatest signs of a great songwriter/lyricist.
