By some standards her age is considered closer to 14 or 15. Either way, its my understanding she was past puberty and his only virgin wife, this was perfectly normal for that time and a long time after him. It ends there.

Those men in that verse had just murdered a poor, innocent shepherd. They received the death penalty for that.
