My dad attended a reading Price did of E.A. Poe's works once...someone who worked at the place knew my dad and that he was a huge Price fan, and passed along to Price that he had a huge fan in the audience. After the reading, Price had someone go get my dad and bring him backstage to meet him. THAT is class right there, and my dad still has the book of Poe stories Price signed for him.
... Hot dang... Vincent Price is before my generation (Seriously, no one in my class knew who this brilliant actor is), and this STILL makes me tear up... Rest in peace, Vincent.
He was and grew up with his movies! did you ever see Great Mouse Detective back in 86 when you were 4? i was 5 when it came out and saw it 4 times in theaters and had a readalong book with cassette, the soundtrack, coloring books and stuffed Basil. Too bad it never came out on video the next year for i wanted it and would ask if it will come on video that year and stopped asking when i was 6, it came back in 92 when i was 10 and saw it again then got on video for christmas.
Got it on christmas when i was 10 after years of waiting. Isn't it cool Scrooge McDuck is a voice in this movie? Alan Young. I had a major crush on Miss Kitty Mouse, the stripper when i was 5 and 10 and still do think she is cute.
Could this man have been any more awesome! He was just brilliant! So inspiring, so talented, so clever! Rest In Piece Vincent Price- You will never be forgotten!
@BBoy2020 No, I did not. I rented the theatrical version of "The Thief and the Cobbler" when I was a kid, and then I found out about the Recobbled Cut about three years ago. I knew about that movie well before I heard of the Nostalgia Critic, let alone before he reviewed it. So there.
Rest in Piece Vincent you are in our hearts and memories now and forever more, I will hopefully meet you in the afterlife, but for now rest in piece Vincent price- 1911-1993
Price...what a voice! I always think of him in that Alfred Hitchcock presents where he's debunked by a detective and he ends up killing him. Very cool to hear Price singing! Ty for the post!
@Moranthea i was born four days after his death. i live in st.louis, where he was born and raised, and there was a big celebration in may for his one hundredth birthday. i went to parts of it and got to watch old movies he was in that i probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. it was called vincentennial. :)
@eddievaliant1 I'm not sure of what he died of, But I only ever heard this song in the great mous detective, which was made in 1986, He died in 1993. Unless he had some sort of cancer or something, Which I think it was natural causes just being over 80 and all. But if it was cancer or something, Maybe he knew before hand that he was going to die. But otherwise, I highly doubt it.
Love it! He had one of the best voices ever. One of those where he speaks in a role and you immediately know who it is. Rest in peace sir, you are missed by all!
This is isn't goodbye we will meet again, in Heaven RIP Vincent Price The Legend Of Horror and a Legend in everyone's heart

What's the difference between Netflix and VHS...
It's easier to find this Movie on VHS. (It's not on Netflix!)
I just bought it for $0.10 at Salvation Army! Oh, and I have a VCR and a tuner Card :)
