My all time favorite song. Good job. Really good job. There are a lot of notes here that are hard to hit while maintaining that energy. Really need to fill your bag of air to get to the end of those phrases. When it comes to swinging the sh*t out of this song, nobody touches Frank or Billie Holiday.
Ol' Blue Eyes and Peri Como's versions are still my favourite, this version how does do justice to Frank's, but it's a little too much like the original in my professional amateur opinion.
@GrassetteFilms It's a very old song. Somewhere in one of my closets I have a 10" 78 rpm with a version which was probably recorded before Sinatra was potty trained.
But Michael Bublé recorded a more recent arrangement which is, perhaps, the best of all. It's a matter of taste, of course. But it's nice to see young people doing new interpretations of this classic.
Ol' Blue Eyes and Pemi Como's versions are still my favourite, this version how does do justice to Frank's, but it's a little too much like the original in my professional amateur opinion.
I keep hearing this song, in many different versions but still I've grown to love this song... not that i didnt love it before but... you know gotta love it!!
he's using a similar (or the same?) arrangement as Frank. It's a nice rendition.... HOWEVER, there is something huge in the difference in vibe. It's like Frank's band meant it! You know, it wasn't just a 'cover' or a 'retro'; it was THEIR music and it sounds like they are playing it with the intensity of swing that comes from being sincere and fully into what you are doing. These covers don't have the same vibe, even when they are done technically 'perfect'. Something is missing.
I was really surprised by this track! Very pleasantly, too! Wow, he really does hide his talent behind modern day backing. He should croon more often!!
I am really surprised that Maroon 5 covered a song like this. I've heard Michael Buble's version and I absolutely adored it, this version deserves just as much love! They've done a great job on a great tune. ;)
o0o0o0o0o just the thiung for Chrismas I think and believe!!!! I feel so warm inside now :) Ohhhh Adam...Ohhhh Maroon5 you 5 NEVER ever fail to impress <3!
I love listening to old music and its sad that alot of younger people think its dorky untill someone comes along and remakes a classic and does a fantastic job of it. Revive the classics. loved this version of the song
Wow, I came here expecting to leave a comment like "Jesus, artists nowadays have no respect for the classics, thinking that they can make shitty covers like this"
Absolutely love this cover. His voice is all KINDS of amazing and gives me this tingly, warm feeling. The kind of song that makes you feel like faling in love. THAT'S how good it is. Wish they did more of this though, Adam has a unique voice that strangely suits this genre.
I'm sorry but what is wrong with this song? Actually, what I should ask is... what is wrong with you guys who say this song is crap? Sure you can have your opinion and say you don't like it, but it is a well put together song no matter how you slice it. Go dance with your lady and see how good it is!
@tahoe350 I think it's good. I do like Phil Collin's remake better, though. He provides a far more soulful melody. It really isn't anything like the original, though, so it's hard to compare and contrast fairly.
@creed61285 This was originally Fred Astaire, not Sinatra. I'm not trying to be a smartass...even though that's kindof what I'm being. But, really, Sinatra very rarely did anything "first." Errr...I honestly couldn't tell you a song that he didn't just cover. Most of these songs are just jazz standards.
Right about now, somebody'll respond with a "Get a life!" or "That's getting old, now, stop it!" comment, but, unlike those people, I'm not gonna cop out like that.; This was a good cover, in my view.
My picky self is just like, "Fred Astaire originally sang this song, not Frank!" But that doesn't matter, because it's a wonderful song and this is a nice cover. :)
I love how Maroon 5 my favourite current group sing this classic Sinatra tune. They have done an amazing job of doing so. Sinatra would have given them two thumbs up. BRAVO!!!!

When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight.

I like it. I like Sinatra's more though, ya know? Still, I think Phil Collin's is still my favorite. To be honest though, it's like Phil's and Frank's versions are two completely different songs, anyway. Please listen to Phil Collin's version and let me know what you thought of it.

Simply can't beat Frank, it's true. Not even Maroon 5 can hold a candle. This kind of annoyed me, just listening to it.
