@JBGemJT It's real bud, it has the corvette trans. 6th is useless for top speed unless you have 6-700hp. Going into 6th even at the top of 5th will put it at around 4000rpm@ like 180mph. That's a taaalllll gear. Besides he goes into 6th at the end of the video.

Selbst für heutige Verhältnisse ein Hammer, aber damals brutal und derb. Ich hatte ein Dampfrad einbauen lassen. Den Ladedruck nur um 0,25 bar erhöht und schon waren über 500 Pferde aktiv. Yes, this is a "modified" (rebuilt is acctually more accurate) Opel Omega/Vauxhall Carlton.

They didnt use an lotus eprit engine, cause that was a 3.5 v8.

In the llotus omega they use a 3.6 litre inline 6.

The base for the lotus omega is an omega 3000 24v.

They enlarged the enigne to 3.6 litres, put two turbos on it.

Throw in an gearbox from the corvette and there you go.

That is the lotus omega.

300km/h as per tahometer...these tahos were normally showing about 10 to 15% more then real speed...depends on circumstances: mostly wheels size. But i would say, this car was going no more than 280kmh.

300km/p is about 187mph.... and it looked like the revs climbed a bit after it hit 300k, so it may have hit 190mph... but then again the speedo could be way off at that speed. Looks faster than standard, surely 450bhp at least?
