ya know I am beginning to wonder why everyone posts their pos that they have not done the maintenance on(plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil changes, heat in fuel when they are expecting cold?? blows my mind, what's the point? do they plan to fail intentionally? it needs spark or fuel or air obviously
dam thats a good batt. ice in fuel? sounds like it dose nit have the rights fuel mix right for the amount of oxygen in the cold air. starting fluid is bad for engines, its to dry, i find the best thing is WD40 or RP7 its the best thing for your older engines. the last part of the vid makes me think its spark because only 2 cyls are fiering.
I bet the ole Ford Van would start up quicker than that! Guess I should say actually start, lol Thats my favorite phrase on everything 'Piece Of Shit!"
I was gonna go out and start the van today. I put a good battery in it and then went to start it and realized I seem to have misplaced the keys lol. Havent found them yet
Cool that it never did start.. those are the most interesting. ;)

That really sucks when she won't crank over. But like you said, she doesn't like the cold I guess unless something else was wrong at the time.

This is definitely a good vid.

Yep, GM's smaller carbureted engines are a bitch in the cold. I'm surprised that didn't even fire off with either, though.

securitas4142 2 years ago
yea, older carburated chevys tend to be really cold-blooded. especially the carbed V6's.
