This anime is probably one of the best of all time. It has what most stories now a days lack- epic and emotional fantasy adventure. Although I do have to say that the OVA's animation was a thousand times better ,but that's because it probably had a higher budget than the T.V. series. The opening is so spiritual and epic. I love it! :)

Such an amazing song. Such a shame that the anime it goes to isn't even half as amazing. Sure, Lodoss is considered something of a classic, but it's so generic compared with every other fantasy story out there, and everything is taken so seriously. This enchanting song and the chibi-sketches at the end were the best parts by far. Why couldn't King Kasshu have gone around spouting awful puns during the actual show, eh?

Anyway, thanks for loading this. An awesome piece of anime history.

I heard this song in a trailer when I had the first record of Lodoss war and said to myself that this is a very beautiful song. I havn't seen this anime yet with this song in it but this song is just driving me to check it out. I don't watch anime often but Record of Lodoss war is some of the best Anime out there. :)

@forestlock You won't be disappointed by the first 7 episodes, anyway. At 8 the series does something heinous, and at 9 and beyond, its kind of a different show. Still good, but just doesn't have the panache of the start. Also, don't watch the little super-deformed shorts that occur after each episode ends (at least don't watch them til you have seen the whole series). They have their own story and ruin a lot of what makes the emotional impact and drama of the show itself.

Whoever disliked this song, should honestly die. I love this song so much, and the dislike button is just a disgrace to Yoko Kanno's name. I took music theory last year, and our final project was arranging a song. It was hard as frick to arrange this song. I had no idea how intricate and beautiful it was. This song is a work of art. Obviously not the visual arts, but the spiritual, and emotional bite that music can deliver. This song is a masterpiece. Disliking this only shames your family.
