Harmonies should be in the same key...

She is definitely flat in some harmonies you can tell that they aren't "locking" together. She is also not blending well. She's overpowering the melody.

She may not be bad... It's sometimes difficult to hear yourself on a stage, and I think its just an issue of not being able to monitor her part with all the instruments, and other voices around her.

@Hamypig You are more than 100% correct. The harmony was great in my opinion. And "just for the recooord" harmony is so much harder to sing. Anyone can sing a normal melody but only certain ppl have the ear for harmony. That girl can sing VERY well. Julia Nunes would have sang it exactly the same way but shes a badass and wrote the song so shes the frontwoman....all others who complain know nothing

To the juveniles who don't like Julia Nunes --here's a little observation that you will come to understand as you grow up: Music is not necessarily about sounding or looking like an American Idol. People appreciate Julia Nunes because she is a real person who writes and performs her own, honest music. She's not a manufactured music-biz babe with a stable of corporate songwriters and personal trainers behind her . Bob Dylan would not have made it on American Idol either.

Nothing wrong with that but people today are used to slick heavily produced studio recordings that sound perfect or singers that have been coddled, trained and homogenized by those same producers to sound rather generic, not real people singing real live music of their own making.
