  • This is one of the best demos I've seen so far, but why doesn't the beat ever drop?

  • @sharkbarf1 because not everything is dubstep, asshat

  • what do you mean by "hold down trig + left then up"?

I just got my OT and I'm a bit confused..... what menu are you in?

    thanks!

  • @iamdrumatix This was in the beta operating system. I'm certain it has changed since it went 1.0!

  • DMD are cool, i like the guru kits, but i'd imagine you'd get so much more use out of them with devices like this. I'm a hip hop producer and been looking at this machine for my type of music, just dope. DMD no longer available via your link...but its everywhere elsewhere...if you know what i mean. Peace good vid

  • I really wish someone would do a genuine review for this box without any fanboyism and just show both its positives and negatives.

Id also like to see the full extent of what its effects and filters are capable of on some musical material.

  • great demonstration! much appreciated! (:

  • obvious "like" on this video. great job!

  • one of the better examples of this machine, good to see a creative beat pulled together from one sample and some quick tweeking. SO with the the param edits on each step, can you hold a bunch of steps down at a time and to the same thing?

  • @grindFish No, You have to do it individually. Though you can copy and paste steps.

  • @grindFish actually you can modify parameters on the fly by putting the machine in "record play" mode and tweaking the knobs. the Octatrack will automatically save the values in each step as parameter locks based on the position of the knobs when that step was played, so you can stop tweaking and let the machine play to see how it sounds, then continue tweaking, and so on... and then individually fine tune each step's parameters in "record" mode.

  • @grindFish to get each step to the same value, go into "record play" mode, turn the knob of the parameter you want to edit to the value you want, and push the knob down and hold it throughout a full sequence. you have to hold down the knob for this because the machine will only record parameters in the locks when you're changing the values of the knobs, unless you push down the knob, which allows you to assign the same value to every note that is played while the knob is pushed down.

  • @grindFish nice rhythm

    reminds me of mark fell

  • great gear

  • Very good demo of how powerful the OT can be. I'm loving mine. Creativity is the only major limit...
