Decent gimmicky idea, although the memory stick should defo have a larger capacity. I appreciate the single use, novelty aspect of this product. But for many people the days of encoding files as 128kbps MP3's (or equivilant) have passed. A lot of my 4-5 minute songs tend to be 9-10MB in size, which means I can only store 6 or 7 songs. The stick should have at least double it's capacity imo.
Also, the audio cassette may no longer be in use, but have CD's been forgotten about? What is wrong with a mix CD? And a gift of this kind deserves to be kept and cherished for years to come, but with the usb stick's rewriteable capabilities, it won't be. Plus what can you do? Stick it into a PC where the music gets imported into iTunes and becomes just another playlist.
I totally agree, you mine as well just give a mix CD because this is even stupider. A mix tape tho, that's something special. Even if he/she doesn't have a cassette player, you should make a mix tape. Seen Here
I think u should empty the trash after deleting the songs with the stick still plugged cuz when u delete from a externa device files are still inside but u cannot see them 'till u empty the trash...
This is fresh.

Why not just actually use a cassette.

@abba1987 Many people don't own cassette players any more and they can be cumbersome when wanting to listen to the playlist while not at home

Yeah, you can. It's a normal USB memory stick. Obviously what you write in ink on the packaging stays there though. Got mine today - it's great :)
