It is a video overlayed on top of a picture. The picture was of the floor with the "footprints" already in the powder. I then rotoscoped the video two slowly start reveling the picture under the video layer. This gave the effect of the feet appearing. And for the most complicated part!!!! I hid behind the door to open it. :D
I did this about a year ago and in 5 minutes. If I REALLY wanted to and used a higher quality camera, I could make some nice results.
