  • it cost 355 euro incl btw at makro (netherlands)

  • WOUTkABOUT3 ; Can you tell me How much it cost you? Where did you buy it? How good is the image quality? and Can you have any background or does it have to be white? Do you have widescreen capability. I believe that projectors are the future rather than bigger TV screens

  • i think there nice but they are a little expensive... 450 - 500 US

  • 590 USD ON NEWEGG?? thats crazy! I can get one cheaper if I buy in Germany and get it shipped!

  • Hey, do you mind sharing where you found it so much cheaper?

I was going to buy it in the US now, but I'm going to be studying in Germany starting in a couple weeks so might as well get it there.

  • cyberport de

  • cyberport de about 430euro

  • uh you realize that the euro is worth more than the dollar?

430 EUR is over 600 USD.

  • HUH? man the U.S dollar took a huge hit!

  • @22512587 That dose not make euro's better than dollar's in any way.

  • One more thing... How far away from the other wall is that ? and how big is that picture ?

  • I am considering buying this projector BUT... I see a color flicker in the white parts of the screen... I read about a rainbow effect that some DLP projectors put out... Is this flicker caused by the projector or is it just in the movie you posted ???

I am impressed with the picture in a room that is obviously lit up like this one... Especially with the low lumens this projector is rated to have...

  • Hi woutkabout3, I'm thinking of getting this projector. How bright or dark does the room need to be to get a good picture? Like how many 60 watt bulbs can be on in the room and still get good colors? Thanks for posting this video and nice clip choice from toy story.

  • Hi, It's hard to say exactly how dark the room should be for a nice projection, because it depends on the projection (dark movie, or bright powerpoint) and the size of the image. I only use the largest image in a darkened room with the lights off. For a smaller projection it's no problem if some light is on. Watching smaller powerpoints is for example no problem.

  • Thanks!

  • Do you have the video on widescreen, since the native is 800x600? Thanks in advance! Let us know how you like it so far, I'm considering buying one...

  • Hi,

I never use the option widescreen from the projector. In normal mode it just projects the video with the same ratio as on my laptop. As a result above and beneath the image is a small black border.

I like it a lot, I use it most of the time for playing Wii en showing photos to friends and family. For those portable purposes it's great. Looking video is ok, but other projectors may be offering better IQ for the same price.

  • Nice to see it in action my brother

  • can u make a review? would be great!

  • Just bought a P400 kinda disappointed in lack or horizontal keystone and I can't use it for my desktop because it blows hot air on my hands while keyboarding :) The brightness is just right depending on the matte or gloss of the surface your projecting on.

If I had a bigger PC desk it would be great I think.

  • Nice! I've been curious to find the P400 in action. Would you happen to know how its brightness is when compared to a small ~1000 lumen conventional projector?

  • Hi, It's not distracting, I do not see it in realtime, Maybe it has something to do with the 20fps of my camera. I think the quality of the projected image fits the purpose of a small projector like this samsung.

  • THat looks rad is the flashing rainbow distracting or is it the recording?
