  • art.

the original Eno recording always sounded like generalized rage against the machine.

the Shivaree version, i interpret as commentary on music industry dealings and disillusionment.

this one feels like a new orleans voodoo story.

  • EXCELLENT! Thanks. You should be very proud of this, and its reception. You deserve a million views.

  • I sent this to my notoriously hard-to-please brother and fellow Eno fan and he loved it. I can think of no higher praise, but then I don't usually think.

That "dee-dee-dee-duh-dee-duh-dee, duh-dee-dee-duh-dee-duh-dee-mary-hopkin-those-were-the-days" bit at the end is gold.

    That's what we're paid for.

  • I enjoyed that! Thanks for posting.

  • I love this version, it should have been included in the movie The Triplets of Belleville.

    Brilliant!

    favorite and 5 stars.

    thankyou for posting it.

  • this is pretty amazing

  • Brilliantly idiosyncratic interpretation of the song. Eno would love this! 5 stars and fav'ed.

  • Honestly, I've never heard a better Brian Eno cover on the uke.
