  • Step 1. Find a song with no lyrics.

    Step 2. Like it.

There you go! You're favorite doesn't have lyrics! :D

  • this sounds horrible. dont try it unless your deaf.

  • And how to remove lyrics from your NOT favorite songs?

  • You can't do this with the Beatles.

  • I've tryed. Sounds like shit.

  • man that shit gave me a headache

  • Lol, big fake, it removes nothing.

  • its LYRIC'S not LEEEEERICS say ,it properly you stupid american annoying voiced cunt !!!

  • step one.......find a computer :D

  • You will need....Internet acess..And how did we get here!?

  • @doglover20008 i think they should make a howcast vid on how to watch youtube videos

  • why would you want to remove the lyrics in the first place, when you can download the backing/karaoke track?!?!

  • screws the quality of a 320 kbit/s song and don´t even comes close to removing the lyrics... just sounds crappy at the end!

  • Comment removed

  • does it screw up ur computer?

  • yea

  • freaking crap and it removed the drums from my song leaving just the guitar and bass.

  • doesnt really remove the lyrics, it just makes them really silent, and quality you get in the end is fucking awful

    dont follow this walkthrough

  • WOO it worked for me

  • now i know what do to to rebbeca blacks friday

  • this is so gay...

  • the song was all demon like, :(

  • Doesn't work!!!

  • Apparently the solo of the song I chose is a lyric too

  • This turns the songs to ass this dosent work at all

  • wtf just type in the song u like with kareoke on youtube duhh

  • If we get rid of the lyrics by doing this, it will sound bad. So download Ke$has songs. The REALLY bad quality instrumental will at least sound better than her.

  • Chancces are you;ll be able to find the intrumental track on google. Look there first.

  • Or you could just download an instrumental to your computer and open it with Audacity. Way Better

  • So we now have accomplished this:

    A song with:

    -barely any dynamic range (0:45)

    -bad quality audio

    -REDUCED vocals

    Awesome.

  • lolwut

  • dosnt work. ;I

  • I am a sound editor, this trick doesn't actually get rid of the vocals completely, you will still notice the vocals. Its different for every song, on some songs it may actually sound like an instrumental, on other it will be noticeable. It all depends on how the song was recording and how loud the voice track was compared the to rhythm when recorded in the studio. The only way to get a pure 100% instrumental is to obtain the original master tracks from the band or studio... or record it yourself

  • @snatchyme That does Make Sense But For Guns And Roses Sweet Child Of Mine It Actually Does Take Away The Vocals And Makes The Instrumentals Sound Acoustic

  • i can't save it :(

  • doesnt work i can still a vague oice and someone elses voice in it.

  • it works best with songs without drums or electric guitar..

  • Sweet a video I can actually use! wooo!

  • 666th view

  • @greenma201 So you're my dad?

  • @mlrtmn Lol.

  • @greenma201 thats totally badass :D

  • HAHAHA WICKED !!! I WAS THE 666TH VIEWER OF THIS VIDEO !!!

  • it actually worked for me o.e

  • 666th viewer D:

  • This is great. Except it doesn't work.

When I do it, the inverted track cancels out /all/ of the song, so this process basically mutes the whole song. Bang-up job there, Howcast.

  • y is there a singing pistachio

  • This is fucking ridiculous, I can't even click 'split stereo track'.

  • now If only it actually worked...

  • wow im actually glad they posted this...

  • When I'm supposed to click "Effect" and the "Invert", "Invert" is unable to click. :( if you know how to fix this, please tell me..

  • @Zinetha

Is it only 'invert' or is it all of the effects that won't work? Make sure the music wasn't playing first. And be sure you've selected the part of the music you want to use the effect for first ~

  • @Raiinbo it's all of them, not just 'invert'. I think I played the music before doing anything... so hopefully it works next time when I won't play it first. :) thanks ^^

  • works. but sounds like shit, and you can kinda hear the lyrics

  • doesn't work

  • @PumaM12LRV

Could you give some background information to that comment?

  • Is it legally alright to remove the lyrics of a song?

  • @Inmatinus if you dont sell it, its ok.

  • @Lillymonie

    You sure?

  • @Inmatinus so sure! I've made it so many times- Of course, I didn't sold it

  • what are leerics?

  • @zx1011 the letter of the song

  • gave it a go. but you lose all of the bass line of the song, so it renderes it useless.

  • I tried it and besides the fact that it doesnt sound good, I could still hear the song...

  • Great, now make one where you can remove certain instruments, ohh and this doesn't really make the music sound good, you'd have a better chance at singing over the singer in the music.
