If this is around rush hour, it must be right before or right after. You know how these trains in boston get at rush hour. Way more crowded that you can imagine.
The 01800s are still my favorite subway cars on the T even though the new Blue Line cars are here. I wonder if the T will ever purchase anything with an Alstom Onix propulsion system...That would be an interesting sight to see.
For me, I hate the Alstom Onix propulsion. I wouldn't dare to ride a train with an Alstom Onix propulsion(in N.Y. and D.C...) And the propulsion of the 01800's is wonderful... I like the 0700s more now then when they'll eventually get really popular... this propulsion is the best. The green line type 8 is the same goodness.
You probably wouldn't like D.C. if you hate Alstom Onix propulsion. It made its debut here on October 27, 2003 and has spread like a disease. Most cars have it now and you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a train where at least 2 cars have it.
makes such a freaky sound when those 01800 series trains depart...

I don't know the models, but the old white-and-red cars are the ones I like; I find the seats much more comfortable than the new ones.
