Shin Getter was first used by the original Getta Team in Super Robot Wars 4 in SNES... where Shin Getta Robo first appeared way before everything else. It's a power-up for he Getta Team for use in the game, much like Mazinkaiser was. actually. Mazinkaiser and Shin Getta seemed to have gathered a huge fanbase, so they made an AU backstory out of it. But if anyone wants to see the original story where they came from, look for them in the Super Robot Wars series.

When Shin Getter was introduced in the manga it was in Getter Robo Go were those so called kids were the main characters.

You can call me ignorant all you want, I've read the manga and things to, and in my eyes Shin was better off in the original team's hands. There's a difference between knowing what to do when its called for and having a sense of morality. The original team had morality as well, but they had a better sense of duty when called for it. The way you put it is making the original team sound emotionless. Your definition of "morality" seems to be confused with being over emotional for something you can't save hence why I said they're emo. Well this isn't a video about the manga is it? It's about the anime. The kids seemed only a few notches smarter in the manga, and it wasn't until after the original team whipped them into shape did they drop half their bull shit. He spent all his pre Getter days trying to find the most flamboyant and unnecessary ways to kill random politicians and take over the world.
