Truth is EQ is slightly less approachable but has more depth and WoW has some bad graphics and (until expansions) some repetitive quests. Both are fun, social games. That may be true but i bet WoW has more players. i first got the game when it had 10 million players. and in 1 month, it jump to 11 million players. EQ came out WAY before WoW, but it certainly does not mean its better. and i agree with ZornockMaregon, EQ has bad graphics. BUT saying that WoW lovers havent played EQ2, i got a lvl 80 gnome warlock on WoW and a lvl 90 wood Elf Guardian, EQ2 has 24 Classes a long with so many good races, WOW FAILS!

EQ2: $39.99 for base game, all 6 expansion, and the three adventure packs. That's the same as the WoW Battle Chest, so price is the same. As for graphcis, thats in the eye of the beholder. Some prefer exaggerated cartoon looks so they go for WoW, other prefer a bit more defined look at go for EQ2. In the end its the gameplay that makes the game, and where EQ2 shines. If someone quits a game simply because of graphics that's pathetic. Eye candy gets old.
Funniest thing about these EQ2 vs. WoW vids is that you NEVER see any other players in the background. And most of them are filmed in major centers in the game. Don't get me wrong, I played EQ2 and enjoyed it a good bit, but the game is by and large dead unless you already have a level 80 character and are in a raiding guild.
I've played WoW since its release, and quit to play EQ2, so quit trying to speak for WoW players. WoW was good when it first came out, now it's all too easy, everything is cookie-cutter shit. Every other toon you see it a clone of half the others of that same class. It's been so nerfed that there is no real challange anymore. EQ2 blows it out of the water in damn near every aspect. WoW holds nothing to EQ2's indepth gameplay and story. BTW, waiting so long for xpacs sucks.
EQ2 was released Nov. 8th 2004, and by September 13th, 2005 the game had 1 xpac and two adventure packs released. Within another 5 months, 2/21/06, another xpac was released. 6/14/06 another Adventure pack. 11/14/06-xpac. 11/13/07-xpac. 11/18/08-xpac. And finally 2/16/10 Sentinal's fate. WoW, released 11/23/04, has 2 xpacs. Yay. Does that tell you how long?
Ok if you want to wait 2 years for an expansion pack and have no real endgame enjoy WOW. and btw have you played EQ2 endgame..? inho the gameplay of EQ2 owns WOW...want me to post an itemisation vid..an animation vid etc etc and have you crawling back into your hole..?

Funniest thing about these EQ2 vs. WoW vids is that you NEVER see any other players in the background. And most of them are filmed in major centers in the game. Also, i'm gonna tell you something that WoW beats the holy crap out of EQ2 with.
WoW is 999999999999x times better then EQ2 in attracting children to play the game, and keeping them off our EQ2 :P
