  • GO Nucks!

  • Being a Red Wings fan we cant even afford to go to the games anymore it sucks.

  • who had lifted the cup this year? I cant remember....was it cooke or hartnell?

  • haha thats a good one. your team cant even fill the stands

  • yeah the fans only go to the games when they start doing good...............the flyers sell out almost every night and when we sucked in the 06-07 season we still went to the games

  • Same with Montreal, even when they suck, and they are sucking, 10th in their conference, the stands are always full.

  • As a Flyers fan Ive been to a Flyers Habs game in Montreal and that place was CRAZY They have some REAL fans there

  • hartnell is a balls-to-the-wall kinda player. he crashes the net and gets pretty cheap goals. for that, he'll be a first-liner for a while. i see him sticking with carter next year even after the lupul-pronger trade. maybe throw giroux (basically a more consistently productive version of lupul with the hands of a god) on right wing...

  • Personally I'd really like to try out these lines:

    Gagne - Briere - Giroux

    Hartnell - Richards - Carter

Carter used to play wing in the WJC and I'd really like to see what this a french connection can do over a full season if Game 3 against the Pens was any indication.

  • you pose a very interesting point...i think wherever the flyers put giroux, he's going to rack up the assists. giroux could potentially put gagne over the 50 goal mark, but he could easily do the same for carter. it will also be interesting to see how briere comes back this season. will he go back to being the producer he was a few seasons ago? if he is, there may be no point in stacking up his line with gagne and giroux. we might need to use him to fill in a third line (possibly centerinng JVR)

  • also, those two line options basically cripple any chance of having a productive third and fourth line. they might be nice little things to try out (such as carter on the wing, and the undeniable french connection) but i don't see them sticking.

  • no they need some grit on the first line

  • Thats true cooke really does think he's a badass....he's really not at all

  • Hartnell had more pts. this year than Cooke will have for the next 3.

  • scott hartnell should talk, he was only playing first line cause people were hurt he nows plays third line where he belongs taking dumb penalties, oh wait, isnt philly golfin now?

  • dude the lupul-carter-hartnell line is nasty and its usually either the 1st or 2nd line depending on who the flyers play

  • he plays on the second line with carter and lupul(not any more) the year before in the playoffs he played on the first line with briere and prospal

  • ya not anymore because he only was playing that high because of injury. and the best part? who has a stanley cup ring now?

  • Don't talk about something you have no facts about. Other than Briere, there wasn't too many injury problems for the Flyers this past season. So that doesn't affect anything at all. Carter, Lupul, and Hartnell's chemistry and statistics were the reasons they played on the first line. And that line used to be the second line, not the third. Stevens doesn't see the lines the way others do, it's all about having depth. Briere & Giroux were on the third line, and they're both capable being top 6.

  • Pierre Mcguire head this because he was giving BJs on the Philly bench.

  • good thing bettman didn't hear this because it would have been a 10 game suspension. he was busy in the locker room with crosby and malkin

  • mcguire hates philly and he HATES briere from his GM days
