@cumulo25 - I'm not a muslim. However, these Israeli's treat the Palestinians like the Nazi's treated the Jews in WW2. Now the Jews are doing what the Nazi's did to them i.e. stealing land from those they consider inferior to them and killing them willy nilly. Guess what, the shell wasn't directed towards the children, but rather to someone who was aiming at the tank with a real weapon or a tripod with a camera than can easily resemble an anti tank weapon from a far distance. Urban warfare is always unfair.

those soldiers are under a lot of pressure and tanks in urban areas need to be VERRY carful! so those men did not take any chances and fired...
a wrong decision sure but in the heat of action no one tinks 120% clear even the best soldier in the world will make a mistake somtime...

thats what you get in a warzone the tank crew could not see if one of those "children" flaching with there heads around the wall where realy children or a RPG team waiting to strike...
and the tank could have targeted the Press guy wich they might have tought had an rpg instead of a camera.
and i doubt if a latest generation tank would miss a target with a HE shell if they wanted those children dead they would have fired on the ground in front of them...

Picture yourself looking through the optics of a tank down a street, you see some one holding a large object on their shoulder and aiming it directly at you.... large shoulder mounted production cameras look just like rocket launchers when aimed right at you from a distance. I don't know if the Jews in the tank saw if they were kids or not (I bet they could have zoomed in the camera though), but you gotta admit, waving at an ENEMY TANK is not the smartest thing to do. The only time you'd find me even remotely close to a tank was if I has an anti-tank weapon and was on top of a building. Elsewise, I would flee.

Well if i was the tank commander and saw a bloke with a camera how would i know if its an RPG or a camera? i know a guy had a sign but why should the commander take notice of it. i would not have fired a shel but a warning shot from a gun.
