Als ze die raketten aan boord krijgen wel ja. Voorlopig is de standard missile 3 (die ballistische raketten kan onderscheppen op zeer grote hoogte) nog toekomstmuziek voor de Nederlandse marine. De radar van dit fregat is er al wel geschikt voor en ook de lanceer systemen voor de raketten zijn aanwezig.

For the size of the country even an extremely large army (especially navy) and way better trained as the american army and navy.

by the way these ships have radar that can detect balistic missles over the entire country when the ship is in the navy port in the north of the country, it can even detect and take out stealth missiles (surface skimming) and aircraft up to a distance of 75km (released figure, so the real distance might be even greater)

Just to open your eyes, Swiss have some airforce. There is an open debate however, about the choice of armament. Each Swiss bomb is known to contain at least a tent, parachute, 5 antitank mines, a food fot 10 soldiers for 1 week, 3 chocolates, special ops diver's equipment, 20m of hardened rope and a bag of nails.

I wouldn't make fun of the Swiss when it comes to there armed forces.

Every Swiss of military age gets called to serve in the army for a few months untill they basically are to old to serve.

And every male has a Steyr AUG in there closet somewhere...

They couldn't have managed this long a period of not being occupied if they didn't have a strong and capable armed force.

Even the pope has his Swiss guard :P

Batavian187 is right except the weapon at home is a STG90 the most accurate infantry weapon on earth. The Steyr Aug is the Official longarm of the Austrian and Australian military.

Switzerland can field close to 500,000 fully trained men within 36 hours with a population of 8 million. Great Britain for example could muster 150,000 at best at its current overseas commitment level with a population of 60 million.
