Where do you get the idea that ANY true gospel preacher taught a 100% conversion rate simply because people simply walked to an altar? I've been saved for 40 years and been in fundamental churches all that time and have NEVER heard such a claim from anyone of credibility! As far as Billy Graham returning to the "correct" method of dealing with potential converts, his late-in-life apostasy (see YT video of Graham & Robert Schuller) has ruined anything he might have done right earlier, sad to say!
Thank you for your comment. Please read any Billy Sunday biography. The act of going forward and filling out a decision card was considered a sign of saving faith. Billy Graham was correct in the respect that he reinstituted the use of the inquiry room for the examination of seekers to help them with the process of repentance as did Moody and virtually all evangelists of the 19th century before Sunday changed the salvation paradigm. What he did later is very unfortunate.

All the times I had tried before to negate my will and open myself to him failed. I could't do it. But one day he reached down and cleansed me. Thank you, Father. Amen, this is what I see in the bible as well. In todays modern church, its too easy and most dont count the cost, nor do they surrender all (or be willing to surrender all).

I get a red flag/bad taste when the calling & drawing of God is reduced to a mere formula.
Too many have put God in a box; those who think God has to perform according to formulas - I think this is where BG has wandered off the reservation.

Poor Billy Sunday. I wonder what motivated him to do this? I'm sure he was sincere, and I don't doubt he was a Christian for a second.
