I grew up in BK during the 90's dynasty into the 2G! it was joyous, everything & everybody was lovely and when 9-11 happened ALL that shit changed. Then the Yankees lost that 01' series to the D-backs and NY headed into a dark time..

Winning this year 2 me shows there IS light at the end of a dark tunnel. The People of NY came closer in these 10 yrs. looking back =)...

Too bad I wasn't @ The Stadium (The NEW Stadium!) to see that historic moment live. But, I was watching @ the crib with my little brother--we went WILD!!! (He's kinda in that "new generation" Bombers fan pool. Even though he was around for the previous 4 titles, this year's Series--hell, the whole 2009 MLB postseason--he payed REAL close attention to. That really made me happy to be a Yankee fan. A baseball fan. It's like a passing of the torch.)

Oh man those look like really good seats. If I lived in NYC/Bronx I would've gone to that game in a second, even if the tickets cost up to and including 100 dollars. Worth every cent. I agree with NYYanks2003040506 . . . I love seeing these videos. This season holds a special place in my heart because not only did I start watching baseball and learning the game, but this was my first World Series as well. I hope I can see the new stadium next summer. F*** all who hate the Yankees!

a lot of things change for us people. when you love a team the next day you wake up happy , and when they lost in 04, and 05, 06, 07 it was crushing. BUT THIS SEASON WAS AMAZING WORLD CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
