I Have A Question? The pin In front of the cylinder on my 1851 colt wont go in all the way and the Cylinder Wont Spin And The hammer Wont Cock Back Can you Message Back and tell me what to Do?
Stay away from any brass frame revolver if you're going to do much shooting. After about 200 rounds it will be useless, The brass stretches and the cylinder gap increases enough the hammer will not hit the percussion cap enough to fire. Spend the extra money and get a steel frame pistol that will last. I've been buying and shooting black powder pistols since 1973 when a brass frame sold new for $69 and a steel frame from Navy Arms for $89, Pyrodex was $5.50, and caps were $1.09.
@smokingolejerry the brass frames are also only $120 so he could just keep his pretty cylinder and buy one for $120 that does not have the engraving and insert his cylinder. into the new gun.
I bought mine when I was in South Dakota in 2007. I still got mine, and it still fires. All you you gotta do is clean it after every visit to the range. More blackpowder guns rust out than ever wear out.
buy steel frame trust me I know the brass gets worn and marked

The original 1851 Navy was never made in .44 only .36. FAIL FAIL FAIL. Ditch that piece of junk and get one in .36.

I've got an Uberti 1851 navy. It seems like I'm the only person on the whole damn planet that got the square back trigger guard

I shoot 30grains of 3f triple7 and use #11 magnum caps, it's a 15min cleanup with triple7. Get some T/C bore butter and some 44cal felt wads
