  • The Best way to remove and object 100% perfect is using the Vertus Fluid Mask 3.0.10 Plug in.This Plug in even extracts smoke with accuracy and it wont show exes background between hairs.

  • Thanks for advice.

  • np =)

  • The extract filter is hard to use... I would like to see actually how you "clean it up", because that's what takes all the time, I'm not sure I am doing it right... there has to be an easier way... or not? I think the reason they left "extract" out of CS4 is that it's not that great... : (

  • i can;t see Extract Filter in my cs4.. how can get that and what is shortcut key for Extract tool???

    thanks in advance

  • not work(work but the effect is not nice) but i like the tutorials they are very useful and helpful

  • the best

  • Hey! I don't have this damn extrct filter!

Anybody know how to get it?

  • You can get it on Adobe's site now under photoshop downloads.

  • Why is it gone!?? aaargh!

  • This is very usefull!

  • it is removed and it's getting on my nerves. can some show and other way to do this without the extract filter in cs4

  • why did they remove this option in CS4

  • In CS4, about to be released, the Extract filter supposedly has been removed. Oh well.

  • I don't think they would do that.

  • why they would remove something as much useful?

  • they have

    and its very annoying

  • Thanks for awesome tutorial with grate example. I learn a Lot now I properly understood the usage of Extract Filter with help of your superb & Useful tutorial.

Great step by step explanation Please add more tutorial video.

    Thanks God Bless

  • The quick mask mode is very similar to this, but in my opinion allows more freedom =) although in the extract filter the smart highlighting really speeds thinks up on bolder foreground subjects

  • awhh.

    iza kitteh.

  • thanks this really helps

  • Great tip, thank you very much. Oh, and I tried out one of your eye tutorials the other day and the result looked great!

  • Lasso Add and Subtract, it takes some time to do but it works.

For hair, you can just trace around the hair, and then erase it with fine strokes.

Slow, but top quality in my opinion.

  • yes

usually the hardest way seems to give you the best results

  • This is brilliant! Thank you!

  • lol was that "pause in the video" the thumbnail?

    nice video

  • that is like fucking awesome!

  • I never contemplated using preview before extract, or using the eraser to fine tune it before I do the extraction; but I think I'll will in the future; thank you.

A good way to get all those areas that were cut out that you want back is by using the history brush, and then using the eraser if you add back too much!

  • good tool to use

    many thanks

    =)

  • I love your tutorials. They already helped me a great deal. :)

  • OMG That is a great tutorial for quick and easy rendering.

Thanks to IKE i had to evac and miss out on watching your youtube videos. thanks man.

Hey are you gonna get CS4?

  • I will have CS4 the day it's released.

  • OO that sucks... my ability of learning from you might become a bit (term?) affected ( suppose that'll do).

Hopefully Adobe didn't change too much but rather added more features.

  • inhibited... that's it.

  • Then you'll have to do tutorials on the new functions of CS4, OK?

  • lol is a cet

  • where did u get ur background and wat is it called

  • A very useful technique, particularly when extracting moving objects with blurred edges(people, cars, etc.). Many thanks.

  • oh cmon steady hand? learn to use the slection help and you dont need it at all

  • or get a tablet.... like i have

  • I have a tablet too, but smart highlighting is better in my opinion than using my tablet

  • Wait, what kind of brush did you use on the fur part because it did like a feather effect? there some parts that was sharp part by the leg...

    Thanks

  • There is only one brush in the Extract Filter. The bigger you make it, the softer it is, I think.
