I read a post on G4tv.com about the possible future of Ninja Warrior and it looks like there won't be another tournament. it's weird because I was watching G4 and on the bottom it said the people behind Ninja Warrior said they are inviting people to try out so I don't know what the heck is going on.

This is why I like the womem's tournament more. Nagano hasn't achieved a second total victory since this one, and it's been how many tournaments? Meanwhile, Ayako Miyake won three Ku No Ichi tournaments back to back. That is much more impressive to me.

How much luck is involved with completing these stages? On the Wikipedia entry it has people's results over seasons. Sometimes they'll not get past the first stage for a few years, then they'll make stage three then back to stage one the following year.

Obviously they are incredible athletes but it seems a lot of randomness is involved?

@davyjames it's not randomness, the thing is all it takes is one mistake and you have lost.

@davyjames no they change the course obsticles every season so some rounds are easier for certain guys. some are strong and powerful and some are fast and agile, depending on what course they have set up it effects them all differently. thats why one guy will make it one year and fail the next, hes doing a completly different course.

@increddavisstuntman Thanks for the answer. I've seen that they do change parts of the course in different seasons but that said if you can win the whole thing once judging them against each other you'd think you'd be well equipped to tackle anything they come up with.
