  • Great Vid !!)

  • This is a very good video on all parts. PS To all young pitchers out there with dads telling you to pitch with control first then learn speed. You have to throw hard. Control will come when your form gets better. Speed is a gift that can't be taught, you maybe the best junk pitcher in the world. if you can throw hard your junk pitch will be better. also Dads out there you can not teach bat speed just like you can't teach arm speed. Sooner or later you top out. work with that.

  • @nmeyer1001 Wrong. Control is First then Speed, Control comes from Proper Mechanics.

And don't put all Dad's in the same Thought, Mental Midget.

  • Damnnn...ii wonna pitch as fastt as her im a pitcher...ahaaa good job

  • Agreed, lisa is the greatest of all time. Thanks for the videos though people. Im trying to learn some more drills for my pitchers.

  • @seyboo52 ok

  • A good tip to get more power into your pitch is to start slow in your wind up and once your hand is at the top, fire it down

  • i play softball n im one of the pitchers n first time the coach put me on mound i striked out 3 best hitters on the other team and i was the first one to ever do that so yea but that was last year n i was slow so ya this year im way faster but i need tto get faster =)

  • you can pitch 100 miles an hour, its all about the movement you may pitch fast but if you cant make them move all the batters gotta do his flick her wrist and its got so much recoil its a homerun

  • im 19 and i got like a 90 mile per hour ball im gud lol

  • @mizzsoftball147 no you don't

  • as far as this video awesome drill to teach girls to use their legs and not just ur arm circle...girls power is in their BIG muscles thighs hips and butt...same as in hitting with rotation...can also push out of a chair builds those thigh muscles

  • everyone its more about the video than trying 2 compete with eachother that was a very helpful video

  • most of you are full of crap...lol...cat osterman throws 60-62 mph but only throws using 90% of her strength for more control...the grtst of all time...lisa fernandez....throws anywhere from 58-65 in her younger days...speed is overrated....look at taryn mowatt(UA) vs monica abbott(tenn)...in ntl champ...once uofA hitters caught up to abbot they killed her...while taryn mowatt who is extmly slow by college standards whiffed all the tenn players...how...changeups n drops...dont b fooled

  • @tarheelman1969 I hate to reply to something thats a year old but I am in the process of teaching my 12 year old and you are exactly right.Speed is great but if you dont have junk or movement with it you wont be as successfull as a slow pitcher that has movement and junk.

  • im 14 and pitch around 80-90 km/h

  • you act like 52 is fast...try being 14 years old pitching 60 :)

  • im 13 and throw 60 and average around 58-59

  • i am only 11, but I pitch 52 and she looks 18 to 26, and looks like she throws about72

  • srry i meant to plus it

  • good explaination and example of explosive leg drive!

  • is my phone suposed to ring to

  • ya, my pitching coach does something similar like this, but he tells me to stand on my explosive legs and go all the way down on it and come back up, and on the third one i pitch. it does work and helps you expload out more. :)

  • @softballblondiee

I know its a yr later but can you pls help. What do you mean by pitching coach tells you to stand on explosive legs...(are you standing on just 1 leg) and go all the way down. Are you doing a 1 legged squat and on the 3rd one you pitch. Please let me know. Thks.

  • i'm left-handed too :)
