Thanks very much It did take a while, but not as long as you would think. I think the entire thing took me a little over 2 hours. So I probably spent a little over an hour on the hair.

Thanks again. It's really all a matter of just sticking with it. I just started doing portraits maybe a year and a half ago. It was never my thing to do, I always did other things in art. My first ones ever shown right here on YouTube. If you go back to my earlier videos, you will see a huge difference.

Just practice. If you look at some videos I did over a year ago, you can see a huge difference. A year from now, these videos will probably seem not as good. I had a strong artistic foundation before doing portraits though. Portraits were never my thing, I was always into surreal landscapes and abstract patterns.

Yes, that is charcoal and I do not use erasers for the hair. It's just a matter of layers hundreds of charcoal and chalk lines.

Well, I will be putting up tutorials, and I can't teach someone to do this right from the start. It will take several lessons covering different things just to have the knowledge of how to do it. The rest will be up to interested people to practice the exercises and to be determined enough.
