  • SUch irony....this woman talks about standing up to bullies. Her philosophy is the epitome of bullying the weak. I am almost speechless. FFS.

  • so if 2 states vote for candidate A and the other 48 states vote for candidate B, then the 2 states reconize candidate A as the winner?

    damn republicans are stupid

  • Jesus, what a waste of perfectly good DNA this woman is; Roe v Wade was decided by the US Supreme Court in 1972. If she gets this passed in Mo. it'll just work it's way back to the S.C. and they'll uphold the position and she will have wasted her time and the time of her constituants. Now, she can fuck around with Roe v Wade like a lot of states have done (requiring abortion doctors to perform procedures while standing on their heads) but she can't overturn Roe v Wade in "Missoura".

  • What the hell is wrong with you people!!! First off-shes not against "individual rights." That was supposed to be the main job of the federal government but in case you have had your head up a certain orifice of your body your whole life (and obviously many of you had) than you would notice that they arent doing that. Women rights, minority rights, worker rights dont exist-period! Its Marxism-the idea of class warfare and group rights but your government schools didnt tell you how to thinl.

  • She sounds like the Governor of Minnesota...I was waiting for her to say "you betcha!" a few times. EIther that or she's channeling Sarah Palin. It's a Federal Law because it was heard by the Supreme Court and decided for the Nation, you idiot. You'll need them to overturn that decision and write a new one leaving it to the states to decide, which would be disasterous (and highly unlikely) since places like Texas would impose the death penalty for abortion providers. Davis = Moron.

  • States are passing their own laws for issues like gay rights!

Can you imagine the complete lack of respect for civil rights if the states did an up and down vote on all constitutional issues based on voters whims? The US could revert back to slavery, prohibition, backyard abortions, religious and racial discrimation, etc. in certain states. And at the end of all this there will STILL be massive STATE tax hikes to cover all of the costs that the federal government is no longer providing.

  • This lunatic and racist is a disgrace to this country.

  • So the states should be allowed to do things that limit individual liberties or to starve poor children (though she doesn't make her case for her "war against the poor" in this clip) ?? Yeah, how dare the federal government require states to do what they ought to be doing.

  • So a 16 year old getting a Job is a bad idea? A 16 year old becoming a productive member of the community?learing to work for food? what the hell is wrong with you?

  • Nothing wrong for a young person to learn to work; unfortunately, when you put in context what this lunatic says and other of her positions, it is just a reflection that she needs a meaningful cause instead of spreading hate and division.

  • If you think that states seperating from the union is supporting the working class and rights of citizens, you have easily forgotten how the country was before the federal government stepped in over slavery, workers rights, women's rights, freedom of speak, gun rights...the list goes on. Or maybe none of those things affect you. Maybe the only thing that matters to you is a job. Then I will let you know, China is hiring!

The only thing that ruins countries are wars, period. Open your mind.

  • This religious nutcase can advocate states' rights and bash the federal government until she's blue in the face, but what about individual rights? The federal government's job is to protect individual freedoms; that includes a woman's right to choose. She acts like she's some kind of freedom fighter for the states, but all she really wants to do is outlaw abortion so she can strip away the civil liberty of a woman's right to choose and impose her personal beliefs on others by force.

  • (continued)

My high school took it extremely seriously. You couldn't move on to the next grade or graduate without passing the classes and tests.

I don't know where on earth she's getting her information.

  • Also, she says that schools don't teach the constitution, but it is a required class (two of them, actually) for all Missouri high school students. They must take a semester class over Missouri constitution and civics, and they must pass a state standard test over all materials. Then, they must study national civics and constitution and pass a similar test over it.

  • Everything is Okay except for when a national disaster happens is when these so called sovereignty claimed states will be asking for money and help. Just leave us alone but when we need federal government help, they better get on the ball and get what we want...what hypocrisy.

  • what an aweful person..."hunger can be a positive motivator"...looks like she could lay down the fork herself...

  • OMG... How people from MO sent this nutjob to Congress? Sometimes I despair on how are we going to move into the 21st. century? These people are still living in the past and reviving the Civil War. Is this what Missourians really want?

  • Rural Missouri is very different from the cities and suburbs. People like her and what you are describing are the more southern and rural Missourians.

Missourians from the city favour the north when it comes to the civil war, the south, well, it's different.

  • the 10th amendment was part of the original amendments. Excuse me for not being overwhelmed by her profundity. The Constitution was designed to "promote the general welfare" of the people. Thomas Jefferson believed free education was essential to a free society. This Cynthia "let them eat McDonalds" Davis would benefit from a course in the Constitution herself

  • GatheredNMasses you really need to open a book once in a while before you spout that sort of thing.

If Republicans had their way we'd still have slaves?

Take 1 guess as to who the First Republican president was. ;)

Rep/Dem is a joke anyway. They both want more power over the people through bigger federal government and more authority.

The constitution laid down the Exact powers the fed was to have and made it clear they were never to be given any more. But look where we are now.

  • George Washington told Americans that we shouldn't have political parties because it would tear apart our countries. And look what we did... genius.

Republicans and democrats aren't all that different--I'm glad you know that, most people don't. They all work for Wall Street; they all work to put cash in their own pocketbooks. One of the few people in Congress right now who isn't like that is Ron Paul, but he's nearly 74. It's not like he'll be around all that longer. :(

  • Ron Paul isn't alone, he just has recognition enough to push for legislation that might help us.

HR1207 has more than the needed 218 supporters (last I heard over 250 now). But watch them shoot it down regardless.

The 3 branches are now all under the control of the same group, with the same agendas - which they brag about pushing contradictory to the will of the people. If people don't stand up soon there won't be anything left to stand up for.

  • cytnthia davis and sarah palin in 2012 !

    long live the GOP ;)

  • "cytnthia" wants to make abortion illegal but once the baby is born doesn't want to feed them if they are hungry. Please run this freak for President,

  • It makes me wonder what's worse--abortion or starving to death?

Personally, I would rather not starve to death as a completely conscious person. Much more painful.

  • a sad day for women!!

  • From the thumbs down, it looks like people can't see that you're clearly joking.

  • offensively self-righteous woman.

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

  • cynthia davis is the worst person in the world

  • Eslake,

Our constitution is a living document (SEE Amendment). There are many restrictions placed upon us by states that are not constitutional which has led to ever more federal involvement (SEE:Slavery).

  • She is hate filled because she wants to represent the people who elected her instead of allowing the Federal government to simply dictate the rules?

And if the fed simply states (as they are trying to do Right Now) that you don't have any 1st, 2nd, or 4th ammendment rights, will you call those opposed to that "hate filled" too?

  • Comment removed

  • Eslake don't be a fool. Your rights are not in Jeopardy.

She is only advocating this for her agenda driven by fundementalism. She doesn't speak up on behalf of gay rights.

She also tells the starving kids in her state to work at McDonalds - what a great leader!

  • If you can't site examples of each of those rights being violated in the past month you really are locked away in a dark room.

Abortion is not under federal jurisdiction. The contitution illiterates Specifically the powers that it has, and moral dictate is not among them.

All Other Powers (by the contsitution) are left to the states and to the people.

A federal law regarding abortion is just one more example of the federal gov. overstepping its bounds.

  • you go girl....

  • She is a hate filled idiot who is about to be term limited out. She calls herself a Christian and spews out hate. Only an idiot would vote for this moron.
