Because many of these people create what they create from a deep place inside them. A place that they spend 20 percent of their lives writing songs about and the other 80 percent hiding from.

That depth is what allows them to create the beautiful things they do, but in reality they're just trying to find an outlet for their own issues,

and when those feelings build up too much sometimes they feel the need to numb it down with drugs.

That's what I believe, anyway.

yeah, 10 months after this video was shot steven checked into rehab for second time for his addiction to paid meds. I don't like aerosmith, but my ex girlfriend took me to see them 5 years ago, and they did kick ass, this dude moved around like a teenager, he had to be on some kind of pain killer to move around so pain free at his age. I"ve taken vicodin and worked out, it makes your muscles not hurt, you can even run faster and longer. I think a lot of atheletes and musicians take pain meds

I think it's great Steven took control first before a relapse and the meds took control like they did in the old days. He's not back on "drugs" - why would he blow 20 years of sobriety? Pain meds and street drugs are 2 different things.

Also all this talk about him relapsing and doing drugs again has only come about in the last couple years - since he hooked up with that stupid Erin chick. Hmmmm...could she be a bad influence?
