AB is literally like AB! 0*0=0, 0*1=0, 1*0=0, 1*1=1! So is A+B, but because there is no 2, it is 1. There is a special process to make it 10, C=AB S=A-B. Again, A-B has an invalid option: -1, so it becomes 1. Invalid numbers always become 1.

I am impressed with this person's ability to teach. He has kept his hand away from the board allowing the student the ability to read the material as he is writing.

I teach this material as an intro at a tech school, and even though this is class is elementary, it is the basis for a larger concept that needs to be fully understood.

Were I to concur with your belief that we need more compassion than intelligence, I would be close to signing my own death wish.
