  • AB is literally like AB! 0*0=0, 0*1=0, 1*0=0, 1*1=1! So is A+B, but because there is no 2, it is 1. There is a special process to make it 10, C=AB S=A-B. Again, A-B has an invalid option: -1, so it becomes 1. Invalid numbers always become 1.

  • well, stupid, if you don't like it you don't have to watch it. That concept might be beyond your limited brain.

  • I am impressed with this person's ability to teach. He has kept his hand away from the board allowing the student the ability to read the material as he is writing.

    I teach this material as an intro at a tech school, and even though this is class is elementary, it is the basis for a larger concept that needs to be fully understood.

  • Were I to concur with your belief that we need more compassion than intelligence, I would be close to signing my own death wish. Whether you like it or not, compassion will not build homes, feed us or help us evolve; intelligence will. Furthermore, as the survival of the fittest principle dictates, the weak shall not inherit the earth and in our brave new world, intelligence is strength - compassion is nothing but shedding a tear for those whose fate is already sealed.

  • I do not belief in macro evolution, I believe in God. Thus, I believe that the first and foremost is loving God and people, and once those two take place, everything else will fall into place.

  • right on ... i believe that there is evolution but only to a certain point ex. i don't believe that man came from monkeys but i do believe that bacteria evolves to new bacteria

  • Stating you don't believe in macroevolution is equivalent to denying that the Earth revolves about the Sun, or disavowing that mass warps spacetime. Evolution has been exhaustively established as the defining principle of biology through such diverse disciplines as genetics, paleontology, anthropology, comparative anatomy, embryology. Only through evolution can you truly understand and appreciate compassion, an emotion that evolved to promote nursing and complex social relationships in mammals.

  • I know nothing of Biology, so I'm not going to argue on that point. I know God exists. Prayers have been answered in such a unique way when I pray. Many try to boil it down to coincidence, but they've never experienced what I've experienced. So many things have happened to my and my parents/siblings during our 12 years as missionaries, that there is no way I could ever deny God's existence, no matter what proof there is for evolution.

My rationale for championing intelligence is as follows: confronted by major environmental challenges, the challenge of maintaining world wide development and other evolutionary challenges presented to us by brutal and indifferent mother nature, we need intelligence like plants need water.
