  • She is always playing with ALL her soul !

  • I love Anne Akiko Meyer's playing here but i feel sometimes she can be a little rough...

  • Now that's stylish playing. I'm in two minds about the "I want to cry" look she always has when playing though.

  • @scheepalicious We violinist loves that, think the facial ticks is connected to the ridiculous fingers movements we have to do - I used to watch some recordings of myself and thought "was I having a stroke?"

  • @kelvinorian one more thing, this is world class, tuning for this piece is not an easy achievement cause some of the intervals are massive and the double stoppings just show any mistake like a sore thumb

  • Fantastic you are fantastic. I love your short haircut it looks beautiful on you. It is so good watching you play so brilliant.

  • Style to spare to be sure but the popping "fireworks" were a distraction. Bravo. Brendel would have simply stopped playing.

  • sounds great but watching her play makes me feel uncomfortable. she reminds me of the other mother from the movie coraline.

  • Brilliant and wonderful music piece.

    An absolutely stunning performance.

  • excellent !!! :)) like !!!

  • Bravo!! I always respect your performance^_^

  • She is brilliant.Thanks for posting this....(¸.•¨¯`*•●♥Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ♥...

  • Too bad they don't have bouncers at classical concerts... Its like hearing a blow horn at a golf match! Beautiful Performance however, wonder if that is her Strad?

  • superb...bravissimo so suave and sensual effortless playing..just mawesome

thanks so much for post this amazing performance

  • if shes playing guitar...shed be better than zakk wylde..haha lol

  • parabens

    otima

    performance!!!

  • listen Heifetz!

  • In spite of obstructing noises coming from a mic that is mis-installed by amateurs, I think performance is powerful, very much like Meyer's style. I have had the privilege of attending her concert in Asia, and she was absolutely dazzling violinist on stage, I even brought her a rose, haha. Her performance of Mendelssohn's Concerto on RCA Red Seal conducted by Andrew Litton is the finest performance that I know of. Try.

  • This fuck people who were screaming!!!! This is a concert. I love her <3

  • (I think I'm tasting some sour grapes among these comments.)

  • I WISH PEOPLE WOULD POST THE DATES OF THE PERFORMANCES.

  • so emotional playing. brilliant....

Saint-Saens "Introduction et Rondo Capriccioso" is one of my favourite classical compositions.... beautiful theme. I wouldn't change not even one sound:)

I would love to hear it live. I was at the concert in Warsaw filharmony in 2008, but with Barber - also fantastic :)

  • and what "missed notes" are people talking about?

  • I think... this would have been an intimidating performance for many violinists to play. This is just not an "ordinary" performance venue.. and all the mic noises were really distracting (so was the interesting audience lol)

  • as violinists, the longer we've played, perhaps the more we can only see the flaws, the missed notes, the phrasing as we would have done. not everyone can be like Tiger was (i think of Andre Watts and some egregious missed notes). but there are so many great great moments in this performance... i'd take the somewhat flawed, but musically intense and emotionally charged performance over a robotic performance any day .

  • Good but definitely not in her best form. A few moments of hesitation here and there marred the performance. Other Youtube clips of hers showed her playing much more enjoyable ! If she is using the new instrument, allowance should be given to harness a new warhorse for a big performance.

  • Beautiful ..

  • Absolutely wonderful!!

  • hana moon i love you

  • im surprised theres hardly any comments on this. She plays this better than anyone I've ever heard. compare different people, her interpretation is so good and and completely flawless.

  • @sherrousecs One of the worst performance I have ever heard. She misses a few notes and she just purchased Stradivari's 'Molitor' for 3.6M. Guess how bought it for her....Yes ... she looks good... but the "look" does not make someone a great violist.

Look at Isaac Stern's the Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso. He plays it flawless. Stern was the one the best violinist I ever remember.

  • @bayareapianist

You've got to be shitting me... Stern? Who cares about "missed notes". Alfred Cortot, arguably the greatest pianist of the 20th century, missed tons of notes. Interpretation is far more important.

  • This girl is stellar!!!

  • What are those folks yelling?
