we are NO where close to that right now. Think about how many nerves transmit information that allows you to make just your toes adjust to the changes in elevation, weight distribution, and balance. There is no "cyborg" leg that can even scratch the surface of this....Prolly the best leg "cyborg" type right now is Ossur's C-leg. You cant even run in it cause you will overheat the hydrolic unit and it wont work.
More research needs to be done on the prosthetics oscar uses. The real argument is that Oscars prosthetics are actually too long making him taller than he would be naturally, which leads to a longer stride. With Marlon we know his prosthetic gives him no advantage, because if it were longer than his right limb his gait would be off. I hope everything goes well with your knee and you can make a comeback in 2012.. truly an inspiration for amputees, me including.
im actually an amputee and i just got a foot like the one Marlon has and they fit them to be a little long to compensate for the load compression that occurs at full stride so it actually is a tad long when he stands still but when he runs it levels out

Try getting a plank of wood and instead of running with it paralel to the direction you're running try running with it transversal. Having a prosthetic limb doesn't help you in any way. A real foot has no limits as to how much you can improve it's speed and strength. A prosthetic on the other hand cannot be improved by training

i run the paralympics, and he looks a lot taller on his running legs then he does in his normal legs, plus if youve seen him actually run, he doesnt exert a lot of energy bc he has no calf muscles or anything....nice guy though

IM asuming thats you? Look at my teams 4x1 video. I am the kid who crossed the finish line last lmao. I geuss its just the wrong event for me? Awsome stuff though your at least 2 seconds faster on the 100m than the first person to cross the finish line(he was like #11 in the state or something) and Idk about running I do shotput but 2 seconds is A HUGE difference. good work thats pretty amazing you looked like you were flying
