Many times the buyer will get a refund WITHOUT returning your item, and Ebay/Paypal will do nothing.
I know this, because it's happened to countless people I know, and seems to even be happening to me at this point. Many power sellers are becoming disgusted with Ebay/Paypal.

If its your first sale paypal will hold it until the buyer leaves positive feedback, or for three weeks. The customer has sent the money, paypal has just not released it to you. Check your paypal to see that the money has been sent, or you can check your sold page on myebay, there should be a dollar sign next to the item. If the customer has paid, you should ship the item. Use delivery confirmation.

I don't like stock photos. If I buy something, I want to see the actual item I am getting. I wouldn't make a big deal if it was a brand new text book, but anything that is used, or clothing, a stock photo wouldn't show you any of the defects.

Well lately, I shipped UPS and the manager said they would verify the contents of the package
and would add the description on the order.
And that's all they can do, Which is half the battle won, but I think most people, would not
challenge a small purchase, on large purchases I take a video of the item working, before I ship them
and hope that would discourage idiots with half a brain.

@WolfEyesatNight You don't. Ebay verifies the buyer to send it back. If he does not provide evidence that it is true, he will be subject for termination within his account and ebay is liable to give your money back. Thats why, ebay kicks ass.

Thank you for answering, still it's very argumentative, such as a product being broken by the receiver and sending it back, yet according to a FedEx employee here in San Diego, Ca.
the product can be verified ( not tried ) as part of the service, I always try, in cases such as this, with say a vintage guitar, to have him or her see the product as a third party validation.
I had some problems all resolved by honest buyers, sellers. : )

@Verd1m5 Forgive me...but not true. Paypal and Ebay almost always side with the buyer. A buyer can complain about anything, and Paypal will refund their money without even getting your side first.
Many times the buyer will get a refund WITHOUT returning your item, and Ebay/Paypal will do nothing.
I know this, because it's happened to countless people I know, and seems to even be happening to me at this point. Many power sellers are becoming disgusted with Ebay/Paypal.

It is in the interest of ebay to represent their clients - the sellers - without whom they would have no money. And if some are con artists - so what?
One who conned me even gave me a red mark for paying immediately and then complaining because they did not send me the goods. Ebay did nothing - as expected.

@Verd1m5 I did but I think that this is the problem with ebay. Whereas many users are honest - I have no doubt - there are unfortunately a hard core of fraudulent users. And ebay knows that most people do not have the time to keep coming at them so they could not care less.

I have bought over 10,000 items on eBay since it started, and I have never ever bid on an item that had a reserve and I never will. You want no less than $750 for your item? Then just list it starting at $750 for pity sake!! I hate reserve auctions with a passion.

Establish members 1st. No member w fewer than 10 successful transactions should be allowed any type of claim or the ability to leave feedback at all. A Notice perhaps yes. As far as veteran sellers know- buyers may file false NAD claims for everything they buy. Allowing seller to buyer feedback for top rated sellers is 100% necessary.. Paypal & eBay do NOT earn their fees w current system. Established sellers w success rates over 99% should be better protected / served / rewarded. 13 yrs

the ebay fee structure is ment to screw people out of their money. If you loe the item and sell it, and you want to cancel the transaction if the buyer clicks "no" then ebay still charges a final value fee even though you dont sell it cuz u lost it or whatever the reason.

I just got robbed by Paypal today! This DEADBEAT loser (ebay name stkwireless) bought not one but TWO 32" flatscreen televisions from me. AFTER I shipped them out he emails me saying, "I ordered the wrong model...sorry about that! I'm just going to refuse the delivery." I told him sorry, but I do not accept returns, as stated in my eBay ad. That motherfucker refused the packages so I was charged not only for the original shipping but the return shipping as well! $154 and Paypal backed it!

Well... that was a fucking waste of my time. eBay and PayPal are both as crooked as a bent dick. This guy says to not pretend to be a huge corporation. However, he sold a box of G.I. Joes, a couple of chewed up jawbreakers, and a left tennis shoe and now he thinks he is Donald Fucking Trump. This guy couldn't sell water in a fucking dessert.

If its your first sale paypal will hold it until the buyer leaves positive feedback, or for three weeks. The customer has sent the money, paypal has just not released it to you. Check your paypal to see that the money has been sent, or you can check your sold page on myebay, there should be a dollar sign next to the item. If the customer has paid, you should ship the item. Use delivery confirmation.
