HI Mark. You are an inspiration. No mater what gear setup you play, always sound great. It is hard to sound that great with such responsive amp, most people would fail trying to get such tones. I just got a PT100 and still have not found my sweet spot
Need to ask for your advise. Do you run any cab sim through logic after the Hot Plate and your audio interface? is it direct to Logic? I want to see if it is worth ordering a hot plate for silent recording and if I would need a cab sim.
I use Space Designer in Logic to bring up some Redwirez IR's when I use the HotPlate to record. The Suhr amps are amazing. If you are having trouble with finding the tone/feel with the PT you might want to try the Koko Boost...what a crzy good boost. I can't turn mine off :)
@balboahu I just got a PT100 a couple months ago as well. No one likes honesty but if you can't find "tHE sWEetz sp0T" with a PT100 you're not getting that sweet spot with anything on this planet. Go practice..tone is the hands and fingers..I know, I know but like I said..no one likes to hear the truth.
@PinkyWontWork Thanks for your insightful comment. Now that I got to know the pt100 a little better I can get very good tones but I shall say that I've had better results with my mark iic+ or my cornford mk50 or my old fender twin. I'm a classical guitar player that happen to love rock and I definitely agree that practice make you get the best tone out of your fingers. I'd like to hear how you sound with a plain classical guitar. Playing clean is tougher than shredding... go practice that
@PinkyWontWork Yes, I know acoustic is hard that's not the topic. I don't get how a PT100 couldn't give anyone good tone or good results or "sweet spot" (whatever the fuck that is? Baseball?) unless there was something wrong with it (tubes maybe). Take this Sam dude's videos..he does alot of 80s stuff. It doesn't sound like 80s, it has his own thing going on with a ton of gain but no one is going to say, "hey dude wtf that's not 80s tone". It still sounds good and you KNOW what's being played.
@samhillband It's a good one!! :) mixed reviews on the forum but think your gonna love it. Cliff has reworked the presence so its not as 'harsh' sounding, making everything a little smoother. I LOVE it

Gain on 3.5? That amp must be bursting at the seams with gain. Great clip.
