I pulled out my copy of this album and listened to this cut this afternoon. Less famous than others, but I don't think Paul Desmond ever played finer than on this one.
One day I was a kid listening to Elvis Presley. Another kid from down the street brought in the Brubeck album Jazz Impressions of Eurasia. I heard the cut Nomad and have listened to Brubeck and others in the jazz world for a half-century now. Without Brubeck, my world would not be the same.

Though the title contains the word 'crying' the piece "makes me smile with my heart"
