  • i was in Albuquerque.

  • I was taking night school classes when the tornado hit in Ft. Worth. I was in Mesquite,Tx,which is about a 45 min drive. We had no idea that a storm was heading our way,and when we were leaving classes the tornado sirens started going off.It was scary, and I will never forget that night. It stormed so bad,and the lightening, and thunder was aweful. We didn't get a tornado from the storm, but we did a lot of hail and strong winds.I just feel so badly for the people that get affected by tornado's.

  • wow i remember watching the glass fall from the bank one building down to the streets below.

  • I was working at American Airlines, at their res office in Ft Worth and they pulled us all off the phones and had us run down to the basement

  • I was down there shortly after this happened with a group from Amarillo, Texas. The hotel we were staying in was 2 blocks north of the hockey rink. They still had the eastern building closed off because of the damage from the tornado. One of the workers there at the hotel was telling us how they had just filled a rooftop pool prior to the storm and then after it was over there was not a single drop of water left in the pool. The damage was terrible. But us Texans are strong and we do survive!!!

  • WAAH! I WAS ALIVE AND WAS A BABY!!!!

  • i was 7 when this happened - still remember hiding in a closet

  • Wow, we move to Grand Prairie TX from California in Feb of 2001, and the tornado that came through from the 20 & I-30 on May 4th went down Arkansas Lane right next to our apartment complex. Talk about a welcome to Texas! lol It really scared me bad. What's worse is it was my son's 6th birthday that day on May 4th. To this day, he's now 16, he still freaks out at thunderstorms and tornado warnings

  • @afghanmanyeah I'd say an earthquake is worse because you don't see it coming.

  • @jonboogy you don't see a tornado coming until it hits you can't predict exactly where its going to go so I think they are all horrible

  • I was 7 when this hit...i dont remember much about what happened, but i do remember i was so scared...

  • I was eating at Tommy's Hamburgers when we saw it was comin right for us. I was 9 at the time. It hit the bank where my best friend's mom worked and my whole family was scared for her. I remember the buildings having no windows for the longest time...

  • I live West of Ft. Worth, and watched the rotation as the wall cloud formed near Weatherford. By the time the storm had tracked to FW, the tornado had fully formed.
