OMG this was such BULLSHIT!!!....Alexis was out of her children's lives for not 3yrs, not 5yrs...but 16 yrs...she left when they were infants and returned when they were adults....makes it a little hard for the viewers to believe any motherly concern she is showing now toward steven or through out the remainder of theshow.....then to make matters worst the women did not even raise Amanda...she allowed her to be raised by her cousin..what the hell kinda of women is she???
every single tear of alexis and her concerning about her children is just FAKE. She stayed away for 16 years and now suddenly she's concerning about them? oh c'mon!
i do think heather saved melrose place for 2nd season at least. there were other characters like Kimberly and Sydney who made the show. its just the out right drama from those 3 characters. in season 1, there wasnt any outright drama, outright nastiness. season one of melrose place reminded me of the original MTVs real world.
I never understood why ppl thought Heather Locklear was so beautiful and alluring. I suppose the blonde hair, blue eyes and whore clothes might've had something to do w/ it, but she's really not all that pretty faciallly. Claudia and Fallon were actually MUCH more attractive!
@callixandrus Well, she had a barbie thing going on. Plus, the huge and sparkly light blue eyes...almost cat-shaped. She was very pretty. I think Claudia's eyes are too close-set actually. And by the time MP came around, Heather was magnetic. I suppose with smarts, beauty becomes even more apparent. I know today it's all about the lips, but back then people didn't equate beauty only with lips, they had a more classic, less contemporary aesthetic.
@callixandrus Heather Locklear just had that classic blonde bombshell look. She was hot. I think she was a lot prettier than Claudia who seemed a bit dowdy. I think Pamela Sue/Fallon was the most gorgeous and hottest. She had that classy demure beauty looks wise but with all that lusty sensuality and seductive come hither glances and sexy husky voice.
as it says in the openin titles, nick is a doctor. as he said when he saved claudia, he is a psychiatrist. as he said to krystle, he was a md. as he has discussed with blake, he has worked for blake for years, especially with blakes football team. as with all tv series, new characters are introduced at the start of seasons, eg alexis, sammy jo & nick. others leave at the end of seasons, eg matthew, lindsey & michael. i hope that clears it up for u. what is so difficult 2 understand?
His introduction was a little abrupt--Claudia's attempted suicide was the first time we'd seen him. At this point, all we know about him is he grew up in New York, has a sister, and mentions growing up with a brother--but while we don't know if the brother is alive or dead, someone in Nick's past hanged himself.
I have to disagree with you because there were other characters on Melrose Place who were just as intriguing as Amanda was and the fact that people say Heather Locklear herself saved Melrose Place in season 2 is not true because she was only put in a storyline that made her character interesting. The actress being a face on there had nothing to do with the ratings because when the ratings were tumbling in season 5 of MP, Heather Locklear couldn't save the show. Stars don't make great television
@PopCulture20 u r way off base her....if the characters in melrose place were so intriguing...then y the hell were the ratings so poor until the Amanda character was introduced?...even the creator of the show Aaron Spelling calls HL his lucky penny and credits her with saving the show....by the time the ratings began to fall...the show had simply run its course...this happens with evry show as its core audience ages and their habits change...ie...they go out on the nite the show airs!!!
