  • 2 years? Dude, do you work in a cotton mill? Most people would take 5 years to collect that much dust. Mine is 3 years old, I opened it up and it looks clean as a whistle.

  • This video helped a lot :)!! My Xbox would overheat ten minutes later even though the exterior vents were spotless. It surprised the hell out of me when I saw all the dust that built up around the fan and the motherboard after I took it apart.

  • man, thanks for posting, opened mine up and it was a blizzard. hasn't been this quite in years. Good vid.

  • mine only overheats if a game is being played, the dashboard and games on the hard drive play fine... Loud but fine, as soon as I put a game in the console.. 2 red lights, I am going to try this when I get off work and hope it works.

  • @KEVofPORTLAND did it work?

the same thing happens to me

the dash board and stuff oloads up games on the hard drive load up

    but the disc doesnt

  • @amskhan101 yah man worked like a charm. this thing is playing like its new... getting a bigger HD so i can download all my games too it as well ( so it plays this quite all the time)

  • to everyone that this didnt work for: sorry not to sound like im sellin an idea but i fixed my xbox with 2 red lights by opening it and just simply placing a fan on top as u can see here : watch?v=wIiKC2L8tmE several people tried it and said it worked so if any of u wanna try it try it. tell me how it goes! good luck!

  • mines perfectly clean. but still has the lights! wtf!

  • holy shit! its a dust bunny!!! :3 its eating your technologies! om nom nom.

  • omg dude that was filthy. im pritty sure that aint the problam with mine, i mean sure its more than likley an overheating problem but it aint the rads. im guessing the HANA (ANA) chip has shifted slightly due to overheating.

  • my 360 overheats in like 10 minutes with the same 2 red lights on the left side plz send me a messege 2 tell me wat 2 do 2 fix it PLZ!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know if this works, but I opened my 360 up and it had a SHITload of dust in it. All around the vents mostly. I'm gonna see if it works after get home tomorrow, thanks for the video.

  • to all if you cleand all the duest out and it still wont work you have to re past the cpu and gpu or if it you not booting then the heat sensors for the ram is fuck and you cant fix that but if you put a x clamp fix on it and it started doing this tack it off and put the xclams back on. i got one xbox form a friend and it will not get 3 second befor 2 rrod and i put the x clamps back on and it worked like new hop this helps ^_^

  • I really wish that when I opened up my xbox it would just be bombarded by dust... but unfortunately that's not the problem and no freakin videos help!

  • i get 2 red lights as soon as i turn it on could dust cause it to do that to

  • lmao look at that dust clean yo xbox XD

  • You guys are dumb intercoolers help they suck more air out they don't push it in if they push it in why can I feel a shit load of air coming outta the back

  • 5 stars I tried it and very succesful

  • what one light mean?

  • god its 3 red lights

  • u send in your xbox for 140 dollars for microsort to remove FUCKING DUST WAT BITCHES GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • how did you go about getting the dust out? any precautions i need to know about?

  • dmanand inrtercooler makes ur xbox break evenmore i woundent use it my xbox broke when i started usinbg 1 4 a freezing problom =[

  • i used an intercooler because my xbox started overheating... Now the xbox is dependent on the intercooler and still overheats every 20 min... Without the intercooler it over heats after 2 min...

  • @youknowhoo did you use this fix and intercooler and still got the over heating problem?

  • @NeyoPro No that xbox died about 3 months ago. I have a new one. What I was trying to say is don't use intercoolers because your xbox will eventually become dependent on it and incapable to function without it. I opened it and cleaned it out and it didn't overheat after that again but 2 weeks later, the disc tray was corrupt. In short, clean it out. The intercooler only prolongs the inevitable...

  • you must clean the heatsink

  • what about just using an intercooler will that work?

  • I got one not to long ago. and it actually over heated faster. There are docking ones that are supposed to work good. but the nyko or w.e intercooler sucks

  • 2 red lights means its over heating, if you have 3 then there is a PCB error and can be fix. go on e-bay and buy a x clamp fix kit. if its been overheating for a while then the PCB will distort and the soldering cracks causing 3 red lights. it only costs £3to $5 to buy one so well worth a try, cheaper then buying a new x-box.

  • @157ghsrty so if i have 2 red rings that means its overheating? but will you need to turn it off rite away?

  • @157ghsrty

I like the part where you said it's between 3 pounds and 5 bucks as though there's an appreciable difference between the two. :P

It translates to "Between $4.85 and $5 to buy" :P

  • why if its not dust what its making this happend? i need feed back

  • it works,no more over heating
