  • Hi bud, Really good work, how can I get those tones? the link doesn't work

  • This sounds like SHIT.

  • all sound very similar, should be a bigger difference in tone really

  • @jem7772 You must have really bad ears then mate. That or you're a noob.

  • @alt9001 I am a sound engineer but I may still be deaf !! This is a great unit, especially for effects. Funny that none of the big Guns that endorse it use it fir the amp sims, eg..vai, petricci, stevens, thorn. I guess that they are as deaf as I am, at least I am in good company ! Now go have a sip of your corner store Wine, I bet that tastes the same as a good Cabernet Sauvignon !!!

  • @jem7772 That doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the amps don't sound the same. Nobody said anything about them sounding better than the real deal. Or were your intentions to say that they sound very similar to their original?

  • how many amp models can run at 1 time????

  • Some of the best (most realistic) clips I've heard, but except for this VH4 clip, I'm still not completely sold on the AxeFX *direct* for high gain amp sounds. There's a weird fizzy transistor-like distortion in some notes and palm mutes, and – for a lack of words – a plastic-like attack. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in clean to mid-gain sounds, but most of the extreme high gain sounds I've heard are still way off from the real thing in my opinion.

  • doenst sound like 5150, sry ^^

  • With the exception of the Diezel(which should never be boosted BTW)..they all sounded just terrible. Very unsubstantial sounding. Personally the Axe sounds like every model is boosted already with treble compressor.

  • 5150 definitely lacks something.

  • Takie testy mozna sobie w dupe wsadzić .

  • For me, its the bogner. A bit more organic sounding

  • is it just me or did the first two sound A LOT alike. There were differences between each model but they were a lot less then I thought they were. Great playing and a cool video though.

  • it's 5150 time...

  • nice video!

  • when you say "boosted" do you mean with one of the axe fx many drive blocks or with the boost function on the amps themselves?

  • @thricegod1288

I used one of the pedal models in the Axe.

  • I like tube amps...or so I thought bwahahahahah! AXE-FX FTW!

  • yeah gotta say diezel was dank with sound, 5150 was nice too

  • Diezel!

  • Diezel sounds best cuz it was boosted by OD pedal..

  • I have to agree with another poster here, The bogner has the richest tone and most tube like

  • Soldano and 5150 for me! I'll take two of each.

  • I like the Bogner the best, but they all have their own unique sound.

  • diezel and soldano were my favs!

  • The Diezel emulation was astonishing!

  • @Hectrucci2 I think diezel themselves would have a hard time making such a great vh4 model.

  • what is boosted?

  • They all have this crappy thin midrange sound. I hear this is all Axefx clips. Its like he built a tube screamer into the drive. Not one of those amps sounds correct--they all have that crappy distortion pedal sound.

  • @Rizzy55 i dont think we are hearing the same thing lol i think they have thick mids. i can vouch for the 5150 an the rectifier because my friend i jam with had a 5150 and i have a dual rectifier they sound damn close to me but i also understand that microphones and even mic preamps will color your guitar tone. people dont realize that amp modeling not only models the amp but also the cabinet and the MICROPHONE used to record the amp.

  • I'm confused...so this is the AXe FX doing emulations of all these? Diezel sounded best...thanks ...

  • @oceantracks thought diezel as well, nice punchy

  • Soldano > Bogner > Diezel (The Diezel was boosted, the first two werent!)

Soldano = eargasm, I highly reccomend everyone to play one for themselves!

  • Awesome! I like the Soldano.

  • hey, did you recorded using your FBT verve 12ma??, all sound great like i said!

  • Cool demo :D gonna get me some redwirez.

out of curiosity, did you mean you engaged the boost by clicking "Type" on the axe fx or you used a drive pedal. If the latter which one and how was it set up?

    Thanks a lot

  • excellent tones.

  • Diezel wins hands down :P

  • To me the best is the Bogner, it has the most comfortable sound, of course all are extremely great valve sound.

  • The Diezel and Soldano were the best.

  • yeah!!, awesome, thanks for showing us this great sound.

  • Cool stuff! I think the Diezel is the best in your clip

  • Diezel and Bogner were the best IMO. And LOL @ 5150 pic, whoever had it had the gain on 10, I doubt they used it at 10, but it would be funny to hear.

  • Excellent Demo Video!!

  • very good sound and the pictures goes as well

    good work man

do you use your vht with the axe-fx

    i use mine with it

do you have any videos in preparation ?

  • @jamic

Nope, I sold the VHT some time ago. I hardly use the Axe these days, but now that I see the improvement of the unit since half a year ago (especially through new IRs available) I plan to use it more again.
