My point isn't that all Muslims are arrogant and stupid. My point is simply that this book, which claims to be the final, unalterable word of God, gets some big things wrong. Wouldn't God have made it clear that the Earth was spherical when the subject came up, rather than clouding the issue in ambiguity (or an outright lie, depending on who you speak to).

There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with and disliking the tenants of a religion and not being part of a religion. When you hate the PEOPLE of that religion and don't allow them to practice, in part or in full, the tenants of their religion. That's when you have a problem. I'm a secular humanist who has read the Qu'ran and looked at the tenants of Islam. Some parts I agree, many I don't. However, Muslims who want to legally build a mosque, pray, or even wear a niqab should do so.

I'm not sure what part of the world you're living in and how your constituion works, but where I live (Canada), we have a charter of rights. And in our democracy Islam is compatible in terms of people having the right to worship, dress, and go about doing their own business. Also, if you actually look into it, you'll see how Islam liberated the pre-muslim Arabs from tyranny.

That´s not an issue of compatibility, that´s an issue of being people Muslim. I meant mixing Islam with politics, which of course is forbidden here, but not so in some other ¨secular¨ countries.

No, they didn´t. The Qu´ran says that the first Muslims sacked Mecca and killed all the unbelievers, and then going to the Kabbah and killing all the people there for their native religion. Islamic countries have a history of oppression, state enforced religion, and autocracy.

That is a fallacy right there. The muslims in pre-islamic arabia were persecuted for nearly 5 years. They didn't fight back, and when things got out of control, they were forced to exile. Get your facts straight man before you start debating. The native religion killed babies, something you didn't know about.

Wrong. Historical evidence (something not presented in the Criterion) shows Muslims were actually greeted warmly and converted originally based on commerce and political takeovers and social persuasion. There was no more infanticide in the ancient babylon region than any other place at that time, and in fact infanticide largely occurs in Hindu and get this, muslim communities and societies.

There is no such historical evidence as you suggest. I don't know which historian you get your information from, but the pre-islamic religion in Arabia (NOT BABYLON), was that of idol-worshipping. If anything, Islam destroyed the business their idols brought. Ifanticide was practiced by the pre-islamic tribes in Arabia, and was immediately banned ever since due to the Quran. I really don't know where you get your facts from, but it sure sounds sketchy.

Islam is definitely incompatible with modern society. For example, to Muslims technology is just for the perfection of weapons, the amusement of autocrats, and the furtherances of their superstition. To them, laws and justice are about enforcing their views and punishing those who disagree. They don´t believe in a free, expressive society but in a closed, hateful, silenced society. They are primitive and horrific, and hopefully, they never convert secular, modern society into their ways.

I'm a Muslim, I don't use my computer or cell-phone for perfecting weapons, amusing autocrats, or further "superstition". In fact, superstition is a sin according to Islam. Tough luck as well my friend, because hoards of people are converting to Islam and finding interest in it today. It is the world's fastest growing religion.

Muslims believe the earth is round, it's even stated in Quran (LOL). Eating pork causes intestinal worms and is considered borderline cannibalism considering the remarkable closeness between the human and Sus DNA.

People use pig organs for transplants in the black market. If you actually look at a pig embryo and a human embryo in the development stages, they are almost identical.

The black market for organ transplants is not heavily used, Ive never had organ transplants, but I have had cow blood transfusions (wait, is cow forbidden by Islam? It isnt by Christianity, which of course forbids pig, at least here).

Well, the fact that you put Sus shows you know nothing of DNA. Get this, even if somehow pig dna was very similar to homo sapian dna, that wouldnt be cannibalism. Eating Gorillas and Orangutans, are closet relatives, since we are apes, is not cannibalism. Cannibalism is eating of ones own species.

Um I know what you said, perhaps you have no idea what borderline means. Borderline means skimming the mark, meaning you said eating pigs is basically cannibalism. But cannibalism is defined by eating of ones own species, which pigs are not apart of. Pigs are very different from human beings, alongside their well eaten friends the cows, mind you I dont eat cow or really any red meat, but I love eating pig.
