Week 2 both teams will be coming off of games against FCS opponents it will be interesting to see if they notice the difference in athletic caliber level 5 days after their first game.

They rushed the field because the fans didn't get a chance to rush the field after beating Oklahoma State (away game). Had they beaten Oklahoma State at home I don't think Houston would have rushed the field like they did.
Hey Tech. Another reason is that for 20 years we were terrible and there were die hards like me who sat through an 0-11 season in 2001. Even when we were good in the late 80's/ early 90's we played in the Dome and the fans weren't the type to rush. Even if we were 17, being in CUSA and beating a Big 12 team is a big deal because many of us are still hurt about the snub for Baylor.

I was really impressed this time with our behavior and tech's despite some of their teammates shouting obscenities at the crowd from the sidelines and a few fights, but this is college ball and people get vicious. Honestly it happens at all levels of the game so there's not much getting around it. But there was a lot of good sportsmanship on both sides that I noticed :) Just gotta remember, as much as we love it and our schools, it's a game :)

The energy, excitement, and school spirit on Saturday was like nothing I've ever experienced before. That game-winning drive was a thing of beauty, too. When I simply asked people to "Please stop, because there are children down here," the comments where then directed at me. Ridiculous!

He's on the hunt for 25,000, so he knows what he's talking about. All teams have their share of fans like that, so don't pin it on UH. Get season tickets in the alumni section and you'll be good to go. For tickets, call 713-GO-COOGS and ask for Shasta.

What exactly did you expect coming into a stadium of 25-30 thousand people who are in the time period of their life where they are legal to drink, love our school (UH!), and tailgate all day. Especially during the first half when UH was struggling. I couldn't even explain how extremely vulgar my words would have been.
We made a few mistakes out there, and that's why the score was so close, but I'm just glad it came out in our favor. Tech was an honorable opponent, and I wish them all the best this season.
