Why is sci-if in comcast digital preferred when other areas have it in analog / starter

why do some parts of the area have speed in sports pack when some systems in the area have it in analog / starter?

Why does digital preferred cost as much as Direct tv HD DVR and they you need to pay $15-$20 more per tv to get HD DVR on comcast?

NFL Sunday Ticket is a ripoff... Its only worth it if youre away from home and want to watch your team's games. Other than that I mean, you get about 3 games on Sunday, then comes Sunday Night football, Monday Night Football (ESPN), and Thursday Night Football (NFL Network). Those are all channels you get free on DirecTV (and Cable/Fios). Whats the point of spending $200 just to see a few extra games on Sunday for only a few weeks. Once the playoffs hit you get all those games.

Yes it is extremely high but they know the can do that. It outsells MLB Extra Innings, NBA League Pass & NHL Center Ice combined. It is high in price but I can always go to a bar to watch all those games.
